How is the MMX Legacy Collection for the Switch in terms of performance/bugs?
Need recommendation for a new game to get for my flight in a few weeks in mid September before Links Awakening. I can’t really play SMM2 random levels on the plane since I won’t have wifi.
Looking for adventure 2d type games that can be on the shorter side too, doesn’t need to be a long game or anything.
Already have Wonder Boy, Aggelos, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, and most of the AAA Nintendo games.
Either Shantae! Sonic Mania Plus, shovel knight

You should make some levels on the flight!
You can also download a bunch of levels to play offline.
Don’t have much interest in making levels still in SMM2.
Everyone raves about Shovel Knight but I dunno, I just don’t like the art style in that game. Something about it turns me off. I don’t have any interest in a Sonic game really either.
That Shantae game always did look a bit interesting to me. It looked like it may be a bit anime which I hate, just based on trailers and stuff. Is there much of that? It reminds me of Monster Boy with the art style.
You can pick up Gunvolt if you like Mega Man style action platformer. Mega Man 11 if you don’t have it already.
Cuphead is excellent if you want a boss rush run and gun.

I haven’t heard anything about any performance issues. I think the only complaint I’ve heard is I believe half the games need to be dled and arent on the cartridge…can’t remember exactly though.

I already have Gunvolt and got kinda bored with it. I’m not that much of a MM fan anymore, it’s too much of the same for me to really care for it.
If Bloodstained was patched on Switch I’d probably get that, but apparently it’s still crap.
I’m close to 10 hours on Bloodstained and despite some issues, I think the game runs fairly well. Another patch or two needs to be made but I haven’t encountered anything that made it unplayable.

sheeeiiiiiiittttttt, that’s Phoenix Force costume is the first time I’ve thought Cyclops actually looked legitimately cool and badass. If that ends up being an alternate costume I’d play that one exclusively.
It’s unfortunate I would have to update and thus lose my awesome 4x Spidey team though

Had to swing by work to grab things for dinner and to look for a copy of Collection of Mana. While we didn’t have CoM we had astral chain in our game case. I quickly told someone that worked in electronics that we had a street dated item out on the sales floor. He pulled it and thanked me.
Cause the worst customers electronics associates (or any speciality retail employee) get are the ones that try to use miscommunication between people in inventory and people on the sales floor to their advantage.
Namely with the “well it’s in the floor. I should be able to buy it! Why are you denying the customer and your store a sale?!” approach. they like to call for managers so they get their way as well when they get told no.
So I did my good deed for the day.

Had to deal with my fair shair of that customer bullshit to the point I got a DM in training calling me out and decided he was going try to swing his dick around on me. Still pisses me off the more I think about it.

At that point, even if the customer is wrong, you the sales associate are wrong first. Once on the sales floor, it’s really bad customer service to refuse the sale. If there a street date, it should be in the back till the date drops, not before
Its one of those processes the customer dont see, and dont want to know, and they do not need to know of.
Like at my job, its Coca-cola who supposed to stock the coca-cola, but if the shelf is out I still need to be the I need to check to see if we have any more caffeine free diet cherry vanilla coke.
Bastion is on sale for $2.99 right now. Absolute fucking steal for that game. It’s one my favorite games that have came out over the past decade.

Oh, yeah, Bastion is on sale for chump change. Picked it up a few days ago.
Decided to hold off on SEGA AGES SPACE HARRIER and picked up ARCADE ARCHIVES X-Multiply. One of those Irem shooters I’ve never played.
Collection of Mana arrived. I’ll dig into it on Monday. Is Collection of Mana a Switch exclusive right now? Out of curiosity I looked for a PS4 version and nothing turned up.

Yea I’ve been thinking of picking up Pulsestar, kind of an Irem knockoff ive never gotten to play.

Pulsestar is pretty good. Bought it on PS4 but I’d get it again on Switch because it is the SHMUP machine. I do think the sequel, Blazing Star is the better of the two, but Pulsestar is still worth the money. Oh and the way the announcer shouts BONUS could be the best shouting of that word in any video game, second to Virtua Racing’s TIME BONUS.

Pulstar is a great Shoot em up.
So what it’s a copy of Irem’s style, it still a great game compared to some of the shooters out there.
