Saw Gamestop is offering extra $25 when trading in a console.
It’s tempting to trade in my current Switch for $225 to get the new one with better battery for $300.

Yes. If you bought a Switch on/after 7/17 (when the new model was announced) Nintendo of America will take your original model and exchange it for the new model.
Fuck the people who just bought a switch, let them deal with buyers remorse, how bout is first adopters?
I mean, it’s not like they haven’t already had a ton of use out of it if they bought at release, and they DID say anyone that bought it from the announcement day forward, which is still a rather large window. I don’t think anyone would expect to get a release day model replaced. The fact that they’re doing replacements at all is already kind of above and beyond.

No one going to give you free shit when you buy a Samsung Galaxy S 10 phone and the next day they announce the S11. Insert what ever device you want. End of the day, the Switch would not be here now with new versions if the early adopters decide to give Nintendo another chance after fucking up for so long. And look I am not asking much, give us some store credit, or a free year of Online. Better yet give us offline download versions of all the NES and SNES games you are putting on your online service.
You could just sell your console if you really want to. Happens tome when I buy tactical bags/pouches a lot. I just sell them on eBay to get my money back if I really want a new version of something.
In reality how much more significant is that battery life? I never have played my Switch to the point of “man if only it just lasted one more hour!” And I play my Switch 90% handheld.
