Ok I dont know if Alpha’s purpose is to derail the thread but he has succeeded in doing so for about a page. So we have established that AC likes paying extra for old stuff that he wants to mod and would gladly spend 2/3s of the Switch’s msrp to play games that are playable nearly everywhere else. That’s cool…that’s his prerogative. The majority of us disagree with this. At this point there isnt anymore to add to this uhh…‘discussion’. We should move on from this since I’m pretty sure most have already said their piece on it.
So what are peoples planned purchases from whats been announced so far? Planning on getting MK8 deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade 2, Sonic Mania ( if its gonna be the exact same game across platforms…why would I not wanna take this on the go?), Splatoon 2, and NMH 3( whenever that drops). There’s a couple more I cant think of at the moment but right now these are must buys. Cautiously hype for whatecer other surprises are in store at E3.

So far I’m eyeing Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, probably Sonic Mania (please be good), then a handful of indie games. when VC is released, my wallet will likely cry. I’m not too sure about FE Warriors because I generally get bored with that genre of games.
I’ll be getting a Switch when Mario Odyssey comes out, at which point I’ll probably also want Kart. I’m also interested in the new Metroid game that is coming out for it.

If Nintendo hadn’t poorly designed the Dock, or constructed the Switch out of such easily scratched materials, you wouldn’t have to resort to such aftermarket contraptions.
But on that subject of better docks, i think Hori’s adjustable Dock is a nice step-up to the deathtrap that Nintendo packed with the Switch.

Edit: Oops! Looks like this dock doesn’t output with HDMI, it just charges/cradles the Switch for tabletop mode. I Guess you guys better put one of those tempered-glass screen protectors on instead, to protect it from the dock.
I’m going to wait until Splatoon 2 is released to buy the console so my nephew can have something to play on it. I’ll get Arms for him as well. I brought Breath of the Wild on the Wii U so I have to wait a while to get something for myself.
Totally forgot that this was a thing. Now finding out that Mass Effect is meh, this will be the second game I purchase after Horizon Zero Dawn. Of course all of this is after I take the PMP Exam on the 6th.

Im interested in Arms and had nearly forgotten about it. Been hearing the game is actually really fun from previews so that might end up on my radar. Think it needs more characters. Fire Emblem warriors will likely be bought though I want to see more gameplay.
Nintendo cares about Metroid…but there’s only but so much care you can put into something as a company when it isn’t printing money.
