Did you use the reddit link? I can still add him to my cart if I use that link. He’s not technically “live” but that link is a work around so you can preorder him.
Knowing GameStop preorders (in store) for the amiibo May already be live. If not they will be by tomorrow. End of the week at the latest.
I may go to Gamestop and get the Link if they’re selling it.

I’ll be heading back out for evening work in just under an hour or so. I’ll go to the nearest Gamestop to my house here (ugh, in a mall no less) and ask.

I’d just do it sooner than later. With accessories/toys/limited edition stuff GameStop stores are only allotted x amount of copies and the amount of copies they get are based on that store’s foot traffic and average monthly earnings. So every stories allotted amount varies.
It’s a really dumb system cause I feel like it’s purposely setting up other stores to fail by not giving them the same opportunities to other more “successful” stores. But it is what it is.
If anything. Just call them when you’re on your way home so you don’t waste a trip.
So it wasn’t even a new announcement but I think Panzer Dragoon is my highlight of E3. Never expected the remake to look this good and honestly I kind of forgot about it as it’s been over six months since we last heard of the project.
I hope it sells well, I hope Zwei sells well (which is confirmed already) so that we get a Saga remake at some point.
That said great showing from Nintendo. Some really unexpected stuff, some good stuff we already knew about and most of it coming this year. And everything with friggin’ gameplay, no dumb CGI trailers all over the place. Even the Witcher was shown in all its downgraded uglyness, much respect for that.

@sonichuman try Best Buy for Snake again. He’s officially live and in stock.
Apparently what they showed in the direct isn’t really what it looks like. Screen shots and gameplay demos of the switch version have been floating around and it looks really good.
The downside of the W3 coming out on switch is having to pay the “Switch Tax”. W3 MSRP for switch is $60. Which I find silly since it’s a $15 game on other gen platforms and likely even cheaper on PC.
I think once word got out that you could only play with rando’s and how severe the backlash was. Which probably includes a mass of cancellations they were like “oh fuck. We need to fix this. NOW”
I wouldnt call this a Switch tax. Its been on those other platforms for 4 years already, and on Switch the 30 dollars worth of DLC is being included for free. That’s over 50 hours of free content they could have charged for.
I wouldn’t call this one a Switch Tax at all.

Yeah. I know. And the complete version of the Witcher 3 (the same version the switch is getting) is usually $15-20 on PSN and XBLA.
So it just seems very silly to me that Nintendo is charging full price for a game that’s been out for that long at that price point when it’s drastically lower on other platforms.
I don’t blame them. They pretty much did the same with FFX/X-2 and XII. I just find it silly. And I don’t blame CDPR for getting all the blood from the stone they can.
It just absolutely comes off as a switch tax to me.

This is likely true and I agree. Gotta pay for the man hours of porting, if they hired people to help with the porting etc. which I get. I still just find the price point ridiculously high. If it was like $30-40 I’d have no issues. But treating it and pricing it as a new title is silly to me.

Lol yea the complete edition is on PSN, and the Xbox store hehe.
But again been there for 4+ years.
I also doubt Nintendo is the one setting the price. Same for the FF HD releases.
Well I mean…it is a new title…for the Switch. Don’t know what kind of man hours went into making it perform on the Switch. Couldnt have been easy. Watched a Digital Foundry video the other day that basically said it was a pipe dream and yet here we are, and it even looks pretty good still.
I think the price point for the amount of content and the man hours probably needed to make all that content work (we are talking around 200+ hours of content here) 60 seems perfectly fair to me, and one can always just wait on a price drop if they gotta have the Switch Version but don’t want to pay that new game price.
All I really know is if they jam all of that onto a Switch Cart, Capcom gonna look super stupid.

I am not too sure, but I think it’s the publisher that sets the MSRP.
And I doubt Nintendo would disagree with the $50 price tag.
That, and there a metric shit ton of work to get Witcher 3 to run on Switch hardware.
Guess I’m in the minority. I found that direct overall very weak. The only thing that I didn’t know about that is of any interest is Panzer Dragoon, but then again, I’m not overly excited for it either. I guess it’s cool that we found out about the release date of Links Awakening, but meh.
A new Zelda in the works is about as surprising as a new Halo being on Scarlett.

Nintendo just launched their E3 digital sale. Ends the 18th.
The highlights for me are the Shantae’s being 40-50% off and World of Final Fantasy: Maxima being 50% off. Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY is on sale too but the discount is hardly worth mentioning.
Maybe get hollow knight since it’s 50% off. But I doubt it.
There’s a lot of other really good sales but I can’t see the discounts because I already own them.
My boss just now said he gives em a 2. 1 point for showing up and one point for botw 2.
