So did anyone pick up Pokémon Let’s Go? What’re your impressions of it? I’m still super on the fence about getting it.
Just got it. I’ll post up some impressions a bit later today after I sink in some more hours. Ordered the poke ball too but that hasn’t arrived yet. Damn my gaming backlog is enormous right now.
Work is sold out off of Let’s Go and I don’t feel like ordering from Amazon so I’ll likely pass on it.
My laziness knows no bounds.
I’m enjoying the heck out of it. Playing it brings back so many memories. Surprisingly, for now at least, I enjoy catching pokemon by just throwing a pokeball at them. For me, I loved catching pokemon and finishing out my collection, but it always felt like such a grind that I got bored quickly. Now, it’s much easier to get a pokemon with good IVs. Plus, I hate random battles, so avoiding those is a plus as well. The battle system appears to be old school pokemon. I’m not sure if the moves expand later to include environmental effects or not, but I’m fine with it as it stands. Overall, I’d go into this expecting a revision of the 1st gen more than the next step from Sun/Moon.
Grabbed the copies today at Best Buy, one for me and one for a friend as a Christmas gift, so I won’t be playing yet since I’ll be waiting to play with them.

This is the first time out of three that BB actually had my pre-order, which was cool story.

Pulling into the parking space I saw a few people with Swtich game cases in their hands, presumably Pokemon. I go in, several people had a Pokemon game case in their hand. One person in line before me at the Online Pick-up line grabbed their copy. I go to car with my purchase, freaking out (internally) about the pre-order online sticker on the copy with a Pokeball, for a gift, which wasn’t a probelm, look up and see a few more people leave with Switch game cases in their hands which I’m guessing were…wait for it…Pokemon.

I don’t have history with this series but know somewhat-enough about it, but now I’m wishing I got the Pokeball for myself as well, lol.
whoah I didn’t even know until just randomly surfin’ channels here… at 10 pm Central time on TBS—a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Invitational thing is on.
*earlier today… I forgot to charge up Switch…AND I forgot to bring the damn charger! That’s some sad shit to be on a break at work with your system… but the battery power is sitting at 31%, man

I am tempted to pick up the X collection but I don’t know if I should, already own the collection on GC and while I love Mega man specially the X games, I don’t know if I should.

I’d be happier if the game was in my hands. This will do tho.
I have such a love/hate relationship with smash. My competitive side loves any game i get to be competitive at so i always get excited when a new smash is announced. then when i actually get the game i remember how much i hate smash’s gameplay. its been a never ending cycle since melee and it will continue with ultimate
sigh.
that said, i’m glad i didnt pay msrp for it. i got the game, gamecube controller and controller adapter for less that $50. if i hadnt of gotten that good of a deal on it than it would have been a hard pass.
the roster reveals are always the hypest moments for me.
I used to like Smash so much more when I was an undergrad and drunk all the time. I remember having parties and a bunch of people would be doing 4 player battles all night while getting crunk.
Good times.
But now that I don’t have anyone around to play it with anymore it’s just not as fun. I’ll still get the game so I can battle with my brother and hopefully some of you guys here online, but it’s definitely not the same hype level it used to be for Smash 1 or Melee.
