Dead Cells-- I’m only just now making it to the “Time Keeper”… I seemed to do alright at first but fought sloppy towards the end and lost. This is only the 2nd boss in the game, man… damn this was a shame because I had such a good setup going… 2 gold weapons; spike shield and a dual-blade/sword weapon; my brutality dps was over 1000. I really needed a freeze grenade or that wolf-trap bomb to stop Time Keeper from moving around so much though.
It’s a bit of a tough choice between ranged and parry-capable shield items for me, in terms of my secondary weapon. The timing for a parry seems pretty easy, imo, and you can get big damage off that.
y’know, this system has already attained “Legend” status for me. I’m up to 17 or 18 games at this point, and it’s so much I don’t truly even have time for all of them. I think it’s safe to say that out of the Nintendo family of systems, this is easily the new champion… previously it was SNES followed by Gamecube for me, but this greatness has actually surpassed those. The versatility of being able to play the same games anywhere is a huge factor to me.

Best Buy has a sale of sorts on the switch. You buy the switch and get Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle for free. Not too bad. Mario+Rabbids is awesome.

Ok, Dead Cells just gets even more interesting the further you go… I got a tactical category item that lets me dash/teleport behind enemies with a damage boost on my next hit…the shit looks cool like that “flash-step”/shunpo from Bleach. It’s the same quick-dash some of the more dangerous enemies can do…sheeeeit, now I wish I had that 1 power all the time. The cooldown on it is surprisingly short…actually that may have been after I got the mutation that shortens cool-downs on tactical stuff though…
I love that there is some progression here, unlike other similar games… when you die it’s not a complete “start over from nothing” sort of thing.

holy shit I’m glad I waited a bit… HOLLOW KNIGHT is on sale right now, folks… it’s only about $9.90. I was trying to wait on physical version but I couldn’t resist this price; it’s downloaded already. The art direction in this is incredible.

I just preordered the physical version of the xbc2 expansion on amazon. Got it for less than what it would be digitally thanks to amazon primes 20% discount (rip come tomorrow)
I’m still contemplating getting Let’s Go Eevee and/or Pikachu. I honestly didn’t like Pokemon Go that much and the mechanics of Let’s Go just seems to be a more fleshed out version of go’s mechanics. And as much as I love Kanto, I’m kinda tired of it. I have until tonight to decide if o want it or not. Cause I know I don’t $60 want it but I’m still unsure if I $47.99 want it

Man, I’ve been watching some videos of Super Mario Maker play-throughs and it reminded me of how much I love making and playing levels. I think I might have to dust off the old Wii U and get back into it a little. I have a four-day weekend coming up so I’ll have to spend some time on it and make a new level or two.
I REALLY hope it comes to the Switch in some capacity. I’d be fine with making levels in handheld mode only, or having to use a controller instead of touchscreen. If Nintendo made an updated version with slopes and deserts and snow levels and shit, I’d be happy as fuck.

Just bought the Messenger and to decided to window show the eshop a bit.
I completely forgot that Naganuma was doing the music for this Hover game…makes complete sense since the first thing you think of when you play the trailer is Jet Set.
Kind of want to buy Freedom Planet again to have it on the go. I’ve been looking at Celeste for awhile since I’ve been hearing really good things about this game. I don’t think I’ve heard one negative thing about it from anyone I know who’s played it.
Eshop on the whole seems to be getting better at organization and pointing things out…should probably browse it more often. Did not know that Axiom Verge was 50% off right now…thinking reeeeeally hard about jumping on that. Also both Megaman Legacy collections are 25% off which is prob not bad. Also really like the fact that the best sellers can be split between all games and Download games now since last time I window shopped. Should help the indie games get more recognition for stuff.
Kinda of reminds me…has anyone tried Into the Breach? Kind of curious to hear impressions on that.
If only Nintendo would better organize the homescreen. As I built my library it’s going to get really annoying scrolling left and right on everything.
