The toughest medal to get is the one where you have to kill Vulturon using only Giga Crush. Make sure you don’t get any BM Gauge (who the fuck thought it would be a good idea to call it a BM Gauge?) upgrades. Otherwise, the next toughest is probably the Queenbee gold, but you can use Model F’s editable shot. Make it go up as far as you can and forward. Then, when Queenbee dips down, jump and shoot her in the face. When you’re close to beating her, switch to Model A and use Giga Crush (which won’t hit the nest).
For everything else, using Chronoforce’s time-slowdown thing helps a lot.

I already got all the livemedal powerups, I only read the medal info afterwards.
You can still do it (I had three of them when I did that medal), but it’ll just take freaking forever. Remember that you can use any attack you want, as long as you don’t hit Vulturon. I used ZX to clear everything out while I was waiting for my gauge to replenish.
Started playing Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow again, half way through it right now.
Damn though, some of the puzzles/bosses are a bitch…
how random is it that to open some doors you need to have the last digits of your total gold equal to the number on the door, how are you supposed to figure that out without a guide or some godly inspiration?
Well, the number required is written on the door.
Those DS Castlevanias come out next year right? I need me some more Metroidvania.

Ya, and…
going from a number on the door to - I need the last 3 or 4 digits of my gold to equal that number is pretty random.

FM 5:Scars of War? that never got released outside Japan did it?
So how is the DS version? better than snes?
FM3 is still my fav but i have never played all the way through 1st so I dunno, but Ive heard good things.
They can’t tell you everything. The game’s already easy enough as it is.

As long as you know the colour of the money in that game, you shouldn’t be having any problems. The candles don’t spawn a random coin every time.

Anybody playing Neves? I love that game. I’m a puzzle game whore but anybody that likes picross, tangrams or sudoku should check it out. It’s just like tangrams where you have to move shapes around to match a silhouette.

No, but there are people out on youtube who have a few videos up of it. Some guy, on youtube, is stating that if you buy FM DS, Square will eventually come to terms with their decision to leave FM 5 in Japan. Better to petition it. SE even stated, in an interview, that they don’t have any plans for a NA release. Also, the voiceover work, for the game is, is in Japanese, while FM 4’s VOs , for their JPN version, are in English. Still, there could be a turnaround.

As for FM: It’s slightly better than the SNES version because of the extra missions, cameos, boss wanzers, extra story, and whatnot(you actually get to use boss wanzers without any nerfing). The control is the same, but includes a Drag Mode with the stylus.
Having both USN and OCU stories is what sells the game. The game keeps Roid and co. in the story, too, with some random encounters of both mercenary factions. The localization is great so far. It feels as if it’s pretty accurate. SE cleaned up here with it. Roid’s story will be played, I can assure you.
As YellowS4 said: yes, the missile spams is what gives FM a bad rap. Like any good SRPG, the CPU whores out its’ best, optional, tactical advantage in its’ first turns before their limitation kicks in. Tactics Ogre:KoL has the same problem.
Also, it’s got the same graphics as it did with SNES. Probably a touch up here and there, but it’s no FM3-FM4. Still, I find this to be good release so far.

Needed ranged rifles and mgs, that’s all. I don’t know if it’s just me… but when I get scrap items off destroyed enemies I do NOT find them in my stock.
edit - I’ve got to play Neves and Collapse 3. I don’t think I have the patience for C4 anymore. I’ll have to start up FF12 as well.
I’m not sure if this has been stated in here or not, but supposedly some folks have figured out how to play Dragon Quest IV in English through ROM hacking. Now if only I had that cart…
Information on how to translate to English:
It looks like its not a complete translation, but it is interesting. Thanks.
Any word on how good geometry wars is? It’s supposed to be out this week.
