I prefer to get games at Wal-mart so I can use my 10% discount. I will order a game online if a couple weeks go by and it still hasn’t shown it’s face at work.
I had to buy all 3 DS Castlevanias online because Wal-mart never stocked them for whatever reason.

i don’t know if this has been mentioned already, but why does square enix feel they can charge 40 deneros for their games when half of them aren’t worth the cases they’re packed in?

The name alone sells. The sales guys figure out the maximum price they can charge and still put out the same volume the expect. If they know they can sell say, 10 million units at $40, they see no reason to bring it down to $30 if that still sells only 10 million units. If they figure bringing down to $30 increases sales to say, 12 million units, it’s not worth it.
They’re just maximizing the cash because they know fanboys will pay whatever the price is. If they can get away with ripping people off they will and laugh to the bank because people still buy it anyway.

If the DSi turns out to be able to play Quake 2(as current DS only can with ram pack), have better browsers and more emulators… That’s like the only scenario I would consider buying it.

i treasure my red ds lite myself, i said i wouldn’t get dsi but i know i probably will in the long run. I said the same thing about DS lite when it got annouced.

After getting a 360 recently though, I don’t think I’ll be getting another console anytime soon - so I’ll probably miss the DSi for a while. DSware seems to have potential, though.
If anyone’s interested in buying it at Amazon, there’s currently a promo where you can buy a DSi and Rhythm Heaven w/ $10 off. Rhythm Heaven is already selling at $25.96, since you can save on shipping and tax, I’d be saving about $28 if I bought everything in store. I’d have to wait a couple more days, but I think it’ll be worth the savings.
