im using nina on point, not sure who im going to put second yet, maybe king, jin or rolento?
I’ve been using her on point. She deals so much damage on her own. When I fall behind I tag in bison and use his excellent defensive options to cheese people out with Time Outs
Been running Nina/Marduk I need to hit the lab with Marduk a little more but I like the fast Nina on point with brawler/grappler in the back
M.k > l.k > m.p > tag cancel > m.p > then his anti air grab
Njna does damn good meter less damage tho and that cr HP is good for those peak jump in shotos
I’ve been using Nina / Cammy. They hit pretty hard in tag combos, but outside of combos I haven’t seen anything special synergy wise for a safe tagout etc. I am planning on testing if Cammy’s jump cancel cl.HK xx Pandora xx Nina Super works. Could have gotten the notation wrong on that one.
ive been using nina/abel, i like there flow. there tag in combos are decent both have good throw games,mind games. to me im finding it easier to get shotos with them. will test more tonight
Nina and Juri extreme high damage up to 441 which is pretty good damage.
I’ve been hearing Juri does a fuck ton of damage all around, so this doesnt surprise.

I feel a grappler would help nina out, I feel Nina’s weakness are AA and a move that gets her in/or a gtfo move.
I’ve been using Poison/Nina and I really like it. Both characters can choose to play defensive or switch to offense if needed. Both chars have really solid buttons, too. I use +dmg when tagged in gems on Nina for some great damage.
Also using Nina/Bison, but I’m starting to think Nina/Guile would be a better fit.
What are your thoughts on charge characters in general in this game, they seem lackluster, but that is initial impression.
after playing a bit with both guile and ryu as zoning characters, its hard for me to see why anyone would choose guile over ryu in this game.
edit: but obviously its still stupid early, and guile might end up being great, he just appears very weak compared to many (most) other characters at this point
Well having Juri as a strong main, I haven’t seen anything with Nina being a great help with her. I wish the guide gave recommended partners, but I know Nina has some amazing potential. Every character can dodge fireballs, but I think her and Hwoarang have the greatest dash to dodge projectiles. (Besides the Mishima’s.)
Ex geyser cannon has full body invinciblity. Really good on wake up if you make a good read.

Yeah, I normally use Chun in all things SF, but this game is so fluid that I feel the Spinning Bird is useless. Or at least just not much fun. ;( Too many half circles forward, too. I’ve kinda replaced her with Nina for Cross. (Which is why I’m here.)
So I run the second least creative team in the game: Kazuya/Nina. I didn’t want to play SF characters, and these two just struck me as cool. Been having a blast so far!
Bunch of people I want to try, and many of them will work i think cause Nina is a very flexible character and has such high damage output she’s definitely one of if not my favorite in the game at the moment.
My current team which I’m loving so far is Nina/Hugo. The damage from both of them is always huge and they have some real synergy. My favorite combo at the moment is:
J. HP/HK > cr HP xx. H. Geyser > cr HP xx. H. Geyser > Ivory Cutter (LP + MK) xx Cross Cancel into Hugo, cr. MP xx H. Giant Palm Breaker > MK Shootdown Backbreaker { 10 hits - 508 dmg, 1 meter }
SO YA that’s some damage, and not that It’s worth the meter but if you wanna style with 3 bars with Nina on point:
J. HP/HK > cr HP xx. H. Geyser > cr HP xx. H. Geyser > Cross Art { 15 hits - 668 dmg, 3 meters }
I like this team
I’ve been using this team and I like it a lot. Nina has so many great footsies that easily confirm into chains if u wanted nd her bnb combos are pretty easy. Her links aren’t too difficult.
She builds a load of ar so having Hugo come in late with a bunch of meter is pretty awesome. Gonna add that tc combo to my repertoire
It’s a really solid team I think. I’m a little worried about relying on Hugos armor too much cause right now it seems to catch most people off guard at least a couple times which is enough to make a big punish but I’ll keep working at it. If you’re feeling really ballsy and charge up EX clap and let it rock you can cross cancel to Nina and get a free jump in for big damage too but charging an EX clap combo is a bit risky.
I rarely use either of these techniques, but I do use the latter when people are putting a lot of pressure on hugo and I want him out.
The problem with the duo is that they both still have almost zero wake up options. I really find myself fishing for footsies with nina, like standing mk or cr mk etc, and on hit its easy to convert those into chain tags. However, I’d prefer to be able to convert those into links into geyser, but I have a lot of trouble getting into a range where standing MP is viable. once players start doing downback against nina, it gets pretty difficult to open them up aside from teh lp+mk thing.
Still an awesome team and i’m gonna put some work into her. Love her style.
