The NGBC Thread Version 2.0-Team tournaments in NGBC from here on out!

Kyo’s j.:d::snkc: is great air 2 air. It’s demonic. DG listed it as an AA tool for Kyo too. Remember: not all AA’s are done on the ground. I can’t really comment on Nero’s Mudman and Fuma. He played a good Mudman IMO. With Fuma: Needs to stop doing so many QCB+B/D. Clearly on block it can be punished. Restrict use to combos. For instance: If Kyo lands cr.A after Fuma does QCB+B/D, Kyo’s cr.a can combo into fwd+B which can be cancelled into specials.

Daddyneptune: Don’t do Fuuma’s qcb+whatever ninja buzzsaw move, unless you’re comboing after qcbD. The move is unsafe on HIT. Seriously, any move that the other guy can punish even after you’ve hit them with it is just bad. That move is better for juggles.

I only saw one D. Assault and there were no throws at all. No GCFS, but a lot of tag counters…while tag counters work, they also give the opponent a nice chunk of meter and can be baited and punished.

Run up > throw or GCFS would have beaten those projectile > Mudman supers you were blocking. The Moriya is on the right track I think, just go with what Joey was saying.

My brother stopped playing Fuma because I punished that move hard. I that video is probably the last time you will see that move used. I sometimes accidentlly slip that out because I’m trying to do the hcf+D move. Just start using him myself.

Fast learner. I didn’t know Fuma’s QCB+B/D was unsafe on HIT.

Unsafe everyway except when comboed off of hcf+D.

2nd
3rd Better one
Edit: the worst match is when I use Asura. My brother sent me to jail in that one…

Other than juggles, Fuuma’s Ninja Buzzsaw is only safe on hit if you can cancel to his air DP during it…but the air DP will WHIFF unless you connect VERY deep.

So yes, avoid using it 98% of the time.

If you’re going to play Tung, lead off with him since he doesn’t rely on meter. If you’re fighting Mudman as Geese, you can counter dive kicks, no reason to block them given you have time for the counter’s startup. one of you guys should start playing Big to train yourselves into not jumping so much. Roll/AB step or whatever you want to call it is is invincible and there’s no reason to not use it with characters that have no use for meter in their B&Bs, so I suggest doing that a lot more.

That last Fuuma was much safer, yeah, Shiki’s right about that move. DP can connect if the spacing is right when the buzzsaw hits, but that’s a big risk for very little reward. Use the palm blast thing, it’s great.

Neo Dio was using the fireball super a bit too much.

Better. You didn’t get as locked down as before. Your Geese is alright IMO but I don’t know crap about Geese. I was about to say use his high counters when you’re being jumped in on but you did that:tup: I saw that you did Kyo’s fwd+B as a standalone, were you pressing fwd and accidentally hit B or did you actually aim for doing it? If you aren’t sure if you can beat Mudman’s jumpins do Kyo’s DP. As said before, you do need to work your execution with Kyo. You missed a few combos here and there. You could have punished that DM Kaede did at 1:57. When you play Tung you jump in more, why is that?

Tell Nero to stick with Iori. He didn’t do bad at all. Just needs some work. His team of Mudman/Iori can work.
The last match in the 3rd vid, were you guys just wanted to try other people?

Can some one give me a rundown on why chonshu is placed so low? I know his fireball can be ducked but thats only one part of his game, his QCFx2 A super looks like it takes off a lot of guard meter and his combo stings look solid to me. Any help on him would be nice since I used him and his brother in RB2.

I may be a noob in NGBC but Im going to write up a quick primer in him later just for kicks. Any help on it would be appreciated.

thanks DG, I am probably just getting to axious to hit them. My freinds like to play characters with range :stuck_out_tongue:
My freind uploaded some vids of my being a scrub :stuck_out_tongue:

I played K’ instead of Lee just to see how he plays in this one. You’ll notice that I miss the link from 2B>2A a lot due to KOF11 timing. When I took him into training all his combos were pretty much the same but that link felt so different.

 1. I will train my Iori. I mean I need all of your advice.
 2. Fighting DaddyNeptune is hard work. I need to do some training.
 3. Thank you all for your advice. It is very much needed especially on my part.

Mix in some throws, both of you. It’s a blow to each of your if your opponents realizes neither of you throw. That’s one part of you mixup gone right there. -Nero your gameplan with Mudman is solid but you do jump in a bit too much. Sometimes not juming in at all can be in your favor as DaddyNeptune can make a move and you can bait it for damage like how you use Mudman’s DM where that big orb comes down.

No one becomes a world champion playing a bajillion games at once.
In that light, I have vowed to become a devout player of NGBC…and JUST NGBC.
And, for the record, I already know that Justin Wong is a fantastic player of every game ever made and still has time to be the world champ of Marvel. But that’s because Justin Wong is the second-in-command to God.

Justin Wong is a ROBOT:confused: Daigo is Robo-Gamer. Thanks to NGBC and KOF XI, my enjoyment of GG has decreased. I kinda find it boring.

Daigo is a sex god. Duh. :eyeroll:
I don’t care though about JWong. He won’t be better than me in NGBC once I become the best player alive.

JWong a robot? Interesting conspiracy theory you guys have here…

He might be a robot. His stoic nature certainly implies as such.

No its because Justin Wong has been playing this for a while…as Arturo says guys even HE started off as a scrub…Justins been playing at a high level for a LONG TIME…

So when people say that and all that extra praise I dont buy it…if you work hard enough you can do it!!

Justin has been playing long enough to be where he is right now…

Hes got the experience and knowledge of games to do that. I can play multiple SNK games and expect to win at all of them because I understand them…give me a SNK game brand new and I can pick it up FAST because I understand the fundamentals of SNK…

Fighting games are universal… If you have poor fundamentals and understanding of high level fighting games it will carry over to every fighting game you play…

And if you have good understanding etc it will carry over as well…

Either way it STILL takes time.

Also some people can only play one game at a time and others like myself can play 50+ games at a time…

It all depends on the person.

Wise words, DG.

Besides, contrary to belief, JWong’s only human and there will be a few games that he’s not so Godlike at. DG even has evidence when he ran an old KOF XI tourney just a while ago and JWong placed last.

JWONG-BOT cannot compute. JWONG-BOT plays Capcom fighters. SNK fighters? System error.:wasted:

What DG says is true. It’s the compertition and the drive to compete/get better and experience.
