The NGBC Thread Version 2.0-Team tournaments in NGBC from here on out!

Yo man you know if I was coming I’d MM you…we’d run that shit back…

But I gotta work…

Anyone care to hit me up with some Jin twin strats/combos? I haven’t been in this thread for ages, so if a Primer was made could you direct me to it? Thanks in advance.

I pretty much have exhausted my efforts on my current characters, they are as good as they are going to get, so I decided to pick these 2 up as I did sort of ok considering I knew jack about them.

I can make something as soon as I get time…

As soon as I get the time…I got too much going on right now though trying to make it to FRXI…

The frames of life are in the Book of the Dead.

This just in, just did reversal test for most of the cast on a guarded D-Assault, and it is 100% garunteed punish if you DA as a punish. Even if you do it some distance away to cut back on the recovery it is still punishble by DA reversal. It is free every time.

Thats interesting…test that on Big because his qcbhcf+k super is safe blocked (non meter safe) and his DA falls on the same category…

Research Done!

I think you meant, qcb, hcf+AorC

A version is -2 safe (need to GC to punish)
C version -3 safe (need to GC to punish)
Another reason the super is safe is it causes push out on the enemy making it harder to reverse with a move fast enough to hit at that push out range.

DA reversal garanteed 100 % raw punish with no GC characters against Mr. BIG’s gaurded DA

Note: Check the character that you play supers for reversal opportunities.
example: Shiki gets qcb,hcf +AorC for free insted of DA which she can not get without GCing.

Another thing to note is that not all characters’ DAs reach the same distance.

I don’t know the exact distance for each character, but the differences are there.

For example, Ai’s DA has significantly more range than say Haohmaru’s…

You are exactly right.

I have learned that different DAs’ have different active hit durations.

DG, no rush, but just wanted to remind you about those Jin Twin Primers if possible? Thanks.

Oh yeah thanks for reminding me…I been so consumed with FRXI I totally forgot…

I will try to get those out to you tomorrow…

FYI- Justin Wong just won NGBC at FRXI!!!

EDIT- Here is the Chonrei Primer…

Chonrei NGBC Primer I

  • Bnb is A,B,C, DP+C or hcbx2 p super.
  • Use hcbx2 p super to punish things.
  • Use his forwards roll (qcf+k) and backwards roll (qcb+k) to rush the opponent.
  • His Jump C is godlike in priority for jumpins.
  • When you use his Ball Super (qcfx2+p) use the C version for further distance…put them in blockstun and if they are blocking high go low, and viceversa.
  • DP+C is a good Anti Air for Chonrei.
  • F+b is his overhead.

Chonshu NGBC Primer I

  • Bnb #1- St.Cx3. forward, back+C.
  • Bnb #2- st.a to cr.b (2 hits) to DA.
  • Bnb #3- St.C (2 hits) to f,f +a.
  • Use Chonshu?s teleport games to mixup.
  • You must use everything Chonshu has to stand a chance, Chonrei is better overall.
  • Corner Loop- [Dp+C to qcfx2 p) repeat brackets until run out of meter.
  • DP+C is Chonshus Ultimate Juggle.
  • The flash combo with Chonshu- Dp+K is not in Chonshus command list. Combo into Dp+k and then do another hcb+k with the same button to watch Chonshu teleport in the air.

How do you combo the dp in Shiki’s st.D > st.C xx dash C + C? It will come out but not hit.

Purify where you at? I’m headed to be so I’ll let him elaborate…

You can combo Chonshus dp+k (wasnt qcf + k?) of a cr.a, cr.b. Just like in RB, but you must be very close the opp. and after that, go for a teleport mix-up or something else

EDIT: I forgot to mention that, dp + b tends to whiff sometimes…at least for me…so I always use dp + D after cr.a, cr.b

Yeah I use dp+D also…

The C version DP will not hit, the point of doing that move is to cancel into C dive to land before they do for the reset. B version uppercut does combo however, and into B dive and does more damage, but this is only advisable in the corner since B dive has you land farther from them. Cancel late/early as appropriate.

In other news, I’m going to have to start using my retarded shit next time. Looking forward to the next tourney - GGs to everybody. I keep getting new tricks to make my team better.

You better get it on tape or dvd…

Wait are SieClayton and I the only Kyo players?

Good looking out, man. Thanks!
