Hey DG, theres tourny called WCC happening next month and me and some friends r going to host a side SNK tourny featuring NGBC. Im gonna upload some matches and I want u and the other top player to give us your thoughts on our playstyle…were all kind fo noobs so dont expect to much lol.
i know i lot of people try to match up said charcter against big… so im really asking… how is kaede vs. big…
should i be using counters ( assuming that you know what the big is going to do…) cuse im assuming torpedo ( or the psycho crusher lookalike) can beat out alot of pokes…and he has that spinning lariat but i don’t think kaede really needs to jump at all so i feel that’s okay ( im assuming some bigs will use for invinciblitiy purposes… but that just means real death if that happens)…just wondering about that… that’s
also how’s he vs. kim…i actually never really seen kim too much … so that’s why

Nastodamus- kaede vs. Big is a tough matchup…Kaede has to get in and a good Big won’t let him in… Big doesnt need to jump…Kaede will have to use AB roll and other things just to get in…and Big really can keep Kaede OUT…

Nope…Bigs Far. St. D, cr.a, and Cr.D willmake Kaede almost have to jump…throwing fireballs are good and all but still…Big slows the match down…vs. everyone…
There are two characters in the game that slow the game down…
#1- Big
#2-Tung
Tung? really… cuse of muscleman? i guess that would make sense… don’t wanna jump against tung too much…
You dont wanna jump against Tung or be rash or overly aggressive against him period…you wanna play safe vs. Tung at almost all times…
Kaede has a bitch of a time against Big because his pokes are all faster, stronger, and with better range than anything Kaede’s got.
Kaede’s main weakness is that all of his best moves have massive recovery, something Big can exploit to the fullest. Anything at long-range you miss will have you eating a Torpedo. At close, at best you’ll get thrown or hit by Lariat, at worst you’re going to get caught with FEV-AH.
Kaede has no real answer for Big’s crouching D. You can try to Low Repel but that’s easily baited and punished if you miss. Even worse, you can’t SC the Low Repel unlike the standing, I believe. So it’s basically high-risk/low-reward. You can try to punish Big with QCB+P if crouching D whiffs, but the recovery is better than it looks. Mistime it, and guess what happens?
Good luck trying to throw/command throw a patient Big. Kaede’s normals can’t pressure Big to set up a mix-up and if you manage to get close and miss, well…you’ll get Lariated, Torpedoed or Supered and knocked away and have to fight your way in AGAIN, most likely taking a few more hits.
Air fireballs may work for a little while until you start getting Torpedoed.
The only good news is that you can punish whiffed Lariats with QCB+P. Too bad good Bigs won’t be whiffing those too often.
