One thing though for a beginner tutorial his basic, most damaging AC launcher combo is just AC->j.C->j.D->236A->falling D. It works on everyone and does the best damage outside of character specific junk(IE, j.C->j.A->j.C->j.D->236A->falling j.D works on some of the cast only if you jump straight up, and some it just flatout works on both ways)
Anyways nice vid! Hopefully I can help too later in the week when I get my VCR back and can make a full Jagi tutorial.
I got my copy in today! I’m trying to play with Shin, Rei, Toki, and Souther. Maybe a little bit of Juda as well. The combos feel odd when I try to do them. The speed is odd as well. But the game is excellent. Anyone having a hard time doing some B&B combos with their characters? (Especially if you are a beginner like I am).
I haven’t had any trouble with Jagi but I’m not sure how hard his are considered. I’m also new to the game I just got it like 5 days ago. But yeah I’ve found his combos to be, if anything, overly simplistic. Then again, I came to this game playing one of the most execution demanding characters in fighting games so…Also, Jagi doesn’t really have any super long broken combos or anything most of his are like 10-20 hits.
What I did initially to adjust to the timing of the game just to give myself some simple exercise is pick Raoh vs. Rei, have Rei duck, and do the simple infinite on him. IE, 214D->2Ax8->c.D->214D->2Ax8->c.D->Loop endlessly til death.
c.B(x3) 236A 236C Boost CD Auto Boost (after opponent wall-bounces) c.C 2147+A landdash in AC 2147+A
So far I’ve tested it on Toki, Raoh, Kenshiro and Rei. Question though, is there something better then this off a c.B? 3 Stars off c.B with one Boost is pretty buff IMO but if there is something better I would like to know.
Also, for that combo you posted, i can never get it to take off 3 stars. the air-fireball after the launch is supposed to take off 2 stars correct? i can only get it to take off 1.
MC, when you can get one win from my Shin in Kongman, I will tell others to have Master Chibis here, deal? Thus the ultimate tri states Mamiya player is born? Lol! Well just wait until Pharaon upload his Mamaiya tutorial. Make sure you get her BnB stuff right this time. My Shin is waiting (whistling in the corner)…
I love rei’s air-ring thingy. It is basically a 2-hit shield that causes damage to who it touches, good for flying through projectiles. I like to jump and do the ring, air dash, and 236(fireball motion)-strong punch. Or waiting till i hit the guy in the air with the shield first, then do the 236 special move.
Not sure what you mean about 2nd attack, but thats how i like to use it.
Yeah load times are about 3-4 seconds normally which is crazy. I run it from a hard drive however, so there are no load times for me.
Yeah, what Fasty McNasty linked. The air rei loop, anyone have any idea on how they do it?
Also, for those you that has HnK on the PS2, is it me or did they change up Kenshiro’s air combo into uppercut, then boost out of it into launcher? I can pull it off if I do it from the ground, but I can’t seem to do it from an air combo. This is what I’m doing and hopefully some of you can either correct me or confirm that they changed it from the arcade version to the ps2 version.
c. lk, hk, launcher, sj lp, lk, hp, dp+hp, boost into launcher. Now I can do it the in the arcade, but no the ps2 for some odd reason.
I can dp+hp, boost into launcher, then while falling, hit hk, then standing hk, into 41236+hk…
