I still love this game. It’s probably my favorite fighting game that I didn’t actually play very much. The most manly animu fighter ever. It reminds me of the Marvel games in that it’s impossible to not have fun watching it even if you don’t play it.

yeah, hnk is a manly game, despite how broken is, its really fun to play it, my bro and i used to play it all the time on our ps2
and when an arcade brought one machine, we used to piss a lot of people with out shenanigans, haha

Honestly, I think HnK is manly BECAUSE of how broken it is.
One cannot help but to just go " YO UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!" at how many fools are getting bodied at this game.

I kept watching TRF ranbats, A-Cho stuff & Taiwan players.
No one plays HNK anymore here, except Battosai who hasn’t leveled up much since last year (beat him 10-0 last time in a FT10).
I’m still hoping HNK can be brought back on XBOX LIVE or PLAYSTATION NETWORK someday, could be a nice short-term rebirth for the game.

I know this thread is super old but I couldn’t find a more updated version. Just letting you guys know I’ll be updating my channel with recent TRF matches. Partially because finding recent JPN Jojo matches outside of PSN is a pain in the ass and there is only one manly game in the same level of Jojo that I could think of.

Also, I noticed a huge influx of Hokuto tutorial stream shows for the past couple of years. A top player will go over specific characters and answer chat questions for a few hours. Nothing very fancy but it might be useful for those who are learning the game.
Since they don’t keep the stream on the archives for very long and some of those channel owners don’t upload videos for their shows, I’ll attempt to record a couple of episodes and upload as well (as soon as they are deleted from Nico).
Yeah, i still go on nico now and then and look for trf stuff. Havent in about 2 months though. HNK is a goat game that needs a port with good netcode so i can be forever pleased with my gaming pleasures. If i was rich, id fund the shit myself, dont even want a cut for my work. I just want the god damn game online with some ggpo netcode.

I know my reply is 1 month late but that tournament was godlike. That 15vs15 Nanto vs Hokuto tournament was beautiful. Can’t wait for next year.

They have no twitch archives at all for yabanpaku, and the only videos i found on youtube were for all the 3s stuff.

I did search nicovideo and there appears to be 2 videos for yabanpaku hnk that total 37 minutes. Watching now
That’ s not the complete archive. There is around 3 hours of HnK Yabanpaku footage divided in 10 videos for both the 3on3 and 15on15. I’m trying to edit and merge everything in one video before uploading to youtube.
