no restrictions… we’re in the brainstorming phase, so don’t worry about that first. All I ask is that whatever is suggested be relatively known and not too niche (otherwise odds are ppl won’t participate)
hands down the best suggestion here so far imo. a “20 years later” type thing. think about it, that leaves it open to literally all SF characters, new ones, and reading peoples inspiration as to why they did what they did will be fun!
Yeah but I bet people will get worn out after a few designs. Sweet posted a thread on the same topic about a year or more ago (SF4 Char designs) and most people only submitted 2-3 max designs. If you’re gonna include all SF characters it would make it last way too long. Not to mention it will be hard to fit in when the new characters will be submitted. SF4 concept designs is a fantastic idea for a thread, just not a weekly challenge that follows a certain schedule.
Maybe people should draw original characters for the SF4 concept designs, but like you said it will put the wear & tear on people. Here is a quick list on what should be the next challenge:
The Midnight Bliss Challenge
Street Fighter 4 Concepts
Marvel/DC Fanart Challenge
Soul Calibur Fanart Challenge
I don’t think the SF4 designs for a challenge is a good idea either, 'cause you really have to think about how much work people are willing to take on. Not only does one have to have a new drawing each week but they have to design the character from the ground up.
I’m also not really feeling the midnight bliss idea, but if it wins out I’ll see what I can do.
And if as mentioned by vslash we are branching out of fighting games, lets take it even further away then Marvel, lets draw the members of FOXHOUND from MGS1.:lovin:
how bout something old school like AoF or Fatal Fury? and we can bring up the creativity by making it like a redesign project? like new interpretations of the old characters?
