So uh…anyone want to play a Synchro deck? Because I think someone at YCS Providence stumbled onto something.
When you can make Stardust/Burei/Crystal Wing/Hope Harbinger backed up by Warning/Scolding Turn 1 without Soul Charge (though it is in the deck)…just man.
I even beat a Maxx C Challenge (the opponent drew half the deck).
I just finished buidling possibly one of the best decks with 1 bad match up in the meta. I’m so psyched.
Kaijus going to spike in price
If by spike you mean going from $2 to $5 then sure, they’ll spike.
Gameciel is sitting at $5 and it’s the best one. Bo Tang couldn’t get kaijus to spike.
If the new rarity system didn’t work then slumber would’ve spiked.
If the new rarity system wasn’t a thing, Slumber would be $20+ right now…and I’d be rich.

People aren’t even using kaiju’s right. Right now they only use them as spot removal and don’t even run the field spell.
That or they play too little or too many in their deck. The perfect ratio is 6.
1 each of Jizukiru, Thunder King, Dogoran, Radian, Gadarla, and Gameciel
They have some sick combo potiential that people just aren’t seeing or doing
“not using them right”
They’re using them as a side engine to their own deck. Going any further you might as well make a full on Kaiju hybrid deck which I feel still isn’t worth it.
Kaiju’s hybridize well with damn near everything. They are searchable boss monsters that can create and destroy boards.
Yugioh players never step outside the box much outside of net decking.
They are cheap and match up well vs the meta. Don’t see how that isn’t worth it.
I’m just telling you from the onset, things will seem powerful and insane at first glance but once you face proper competition with more invested Kaiju decks you slowly but surely see the weaknesses and why it ultimately isn’t worth it in the long run.
I could tell you why, but it’s much better for you to build the deck and play it. There’s no reason to believe what I’m saying to begin with, especially with your confidence in it.
All I know is I hope kaiju continue to fly under the radar. I shall build my empire on the shoulders of giant boss monsters
So an update on my deck. A guy that I chilled with at Nats last year heard about the accident in my house ruining my cards. On Monday I got a call from him that he was in town this week and asked if I could meet him at a bar downtown so I went to meet him and by my great surprise he handed me a pretty decent sized box. I look in it and inside is the rarest copy available of every card I had in my main deck along with a couple other extra decks that are popular these days. Apparently some of the guys out here remembered what I played and pitched in to buy the cards for me. I was so touched by it I almost broke down crying fr. One of the greatest gifts I’ve ever gotten.
…The feels man.
Tell this story to anyone who talks shit on the YGO community. It has its downsides but ultimately it’s a decent community.

I was referring to the synchro deck. That board is pretty mean to crack. I would only assume a dark hole, followed by a raigeki or a interrupted Kaijuu Slumber would help.
Stardust/Hope Harbinger/Scolding/Warning (for Slumber) stop all of those.
