I made the terrible mistake of getting in a discussion with someone on pojo. Dear lord do people absorb salt by the boatload. I had to explain to him that even though Konami made a slight…or what they believe to be a slight error on Pen Wizards’ effect
I clarified that the wording on destroyed, makes the difference. Pen Wizard checks to see what he destroys after he blows it up. And destruction effect resolve in the graveyard if possible. So blowing up your own scales works. He claims that because I thought pen monsters go to the graveyard I was bad. Son…did you not read what the fuck I said? I was about to choke a bitch, but I said fuck it. People will believe whatever.
Hey can anyone tell me what the current state of the game is like? Been out of the loop for a while. last I heard some deck based on a new mechanic called pendillum summoning is wrecking shit. I have a few Madolche cards left and I was hoping to build a deck with it. So do decks not utilizing pendilum have a chance? Or it’s either go pendilum or don’t bother?
Again, the format was fine until LITERALLY THIS WEEK. PePe was strong but had real issues when forced to go first because it had very few sturdy monsters unless it wanted to spend it all on Pleiades or going for Nat Beast/Pleiades. It struggled to make a board, it was all about the push. You had me getting an invite with D/D/Ds, I saw Deskbots top, and we have this Fusionist Turbo build starting to come up.
Unfortunately Konami decided that to sell the new Rarity Ratios of Breakers of Shadows, they would release ALL the broken stuff at once. So we’re basically in a Tier 0 format until Konami decides they sold enough boxes. By the time PePe gets strong enough hits though there’s plenty there for a really good format with a lot of variety. It’s just the issue of the massive elephant in the room.
Ah Ok so Konami just up and introduced an absurd power creep into the game for the sake of profit. So the usual. i just came at the wrong time like ya said. Guess I beter do some reseacrh on this deck and what ever else is out there now. Thanks for the info guys
Yeah pretty much. It was actually really weird how they did it. It was for the sake of profit but the timing of it wrecked the sales of the set beforehand.
I stall out pepe players by playing first of the dragons and laugh as they cant get over it cause they dont play alot if any removal besides monster effs.
Heck I got a kaiju deck ready that can put out some ridiculous boards. screw a pepe
