Every scene for everything is smug. There’s just a higher percentage of smugness for Yugioh because of the money that’s put into it.
And yeah Dark Worlds are still a thing. You can honestly top big events with them at the moment with a good enough build because not many people are carrying Shadow-Imprisoning Mirrors right now.
Why is that a bad thing? This format was a solid format. Besides, once Artifacts and Anjelly hit it wouldn’t have mattered what Konami did to the former kings. If anything, it’s better that they let a lot more decks compete for the future rather than strike them down immediately.
Played at YCS Chicago with Cyber Dragon. Didn’t screw up too bad; 4W-1D-3L Drop before last round. I only really had problems with Maldoche/Ghostrick. Will post decklist when I get home.
Well the round of 32 is played out like you would normally, then Top 16 turns into draft.
I still think it’s utterly stupid. If you think that draft is more “skillful” and would produce more true winners, then make the entire YCS a draft. Don’t half ass it like this. I mean, if anything you just made the initial portion of the tourney less skillful because now all deck building just goes toward how to survive 11 rounds.
