Hey so I’ve been messing with some dark world stuff as of late and I must say this build is pretty fun!
I’m afraid to ask, but why in the world are you only running 2 Grapha and 2 Snoww?
Well I played that way and I felt this build just has more options.
Well Grapha is one thing, but not play max Snoww is only taking away options.
I mean, I see what you’re trying to do. You’re trying to lessen the DW engine so that way you can fit in more staples and the like, but it’s going to hurt in the long run. You lowered Discard Outlets (Wind Blast does NOT count as one) and tried to make up the difference with Raven.
The problem is that Synchros just aren’t as absolute as they were before. You can’t even make Landoise in that build by the way. You have no Earth Monsters to use.
I mean, I admire the attempt at Raven Control, if Synchros were as big as they used to be it’d be the Standard Build because of our access to Dark Highlander. But there’s a reason why Raven isn’t run as much as it used to be. Along with the Metallic Lords.
The general points of the new Pendulum Summon mechanic:
-fast way to Special Summon multiple monsters at once
-can be done once per turn during your Main Phase, like a Normal Summon
-are treated as Spell cards while in the Pendulum Zones
-requires 2 Pendulum Monsters for a Pendulum Summon
-during a Pendulum Summon, you Special Summon any number of monsters from the hand whose Levels are between the numbers for the Pendulum Scales
-if the Pendulum Monster would go from the field to the Graveyard it is instead sent face-up to the Extra Deck
-Pendulum Monsters can be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck (while face-up) when performing a Pendulum Summon

Well fellas…Konami has just opened another door down the slippery slope, let’s see how they handle this one.
The OCG is rereleasing Dark Strike Fighter and gave it an errata to give it a hard Once Per Turn clause which more likely than not means that the OCG will be freeing DSF from the banlist.
The question will now be…will they stop at Dark Strike Fighter?
DSF would still be a end gamer though…despite the “once per turn” scenario
True enough however you don’t really make a change to a card that’s on the ban list unless you’re intending for it to be off the ban list (or Konami decided to support Traditional). Especially since they’re going out of their way to reprint the card as well.
Oh yea I agree 100% but im just saying he’s gonna end games so bad! lol
We’ll see. As of now it just ups the nigh-guaranteed death level from 800 LP to 1400 LP. And that’s not taking Heartlandraco into account.
On top of that there aren’t a TON of relevant decks with Level 7 Synchro access right now. I mean you got (Geargia)Kuris and Raccoons somewhat. Plus things like Genex Ally Birdman are at 1.
But yeah, the question still is will they just stop at DSF? Or will they take a look at every Ban List card to see if things are made better by a hard OPT clause. I mean, things like Mind Master and Substitoad would be freed from the list with such a clause guaranteed.
With Dragon Rulers still being promininent over in the OCG, the synchro variant is going to be even more viable with the ease of which Debris Dragon makes Level 7’s.
Debris can only go into Dragon Synchros.
Not to mention there’s no guarantee that Rulers would still be prominent since, well again, DSF has to be freed from the list first which means Rulers would have to dodge punishment again.

And that’s true. How has that Lvl9 synchro been faring since it’s been unbanned in the OCG?
Trishula? It hasn’t made many waves because most of the top decks don’t really go into it. Right now it’s Rulers (who are Rulers with or without Trishula) then ChronoFacts.
