Gamertag is chunbelievable… been waiting a liong time to play this game online. Too bad teh pad sucks stupid hard and nobody has the stick in town.
How is the VF5 joystick. I never used with a joystick and I want one so I can play 3rd strike.
Kind of, the quest mode has you going around to various arcades(actual SEGA arcades) and you play “Rivals”. Keeps track of who you have beaten and you havn’t. Then periodically there are arcade tournaments and official tournaments you can participate in. It doesn’t really give you the sense of being at an arcade, by anymeans, but as far as single player goes for fighting games, you can’t get much better than this (well, VF4:EVO was better, but this is a close second).
it’s pretty good for the price. don’t believe in people shitting on it.

how much is the VF5 stick? I haven’t seen it at our eb/gs but I might pick up the DOA one cause they still have a few left.

The VF5 stick is $60. Why not just get the DOA stick? It’s the exact same stick just different artwork, it’s what I’m using to play.
Yeah if you’re ok with the grafic on the front, just go with your cheaper/more convenient option. It’s the same parts. And you can always swap out the sticker later on if you want to.

Man the VF/DOA stick aint all that guys. I’ve been using the hori(doa one) for a year now.
I’m kind of neutral on it, cause sometimes i have trouble with diagonals going to the left cause it’s like it’s stiff or something going that way. And I’ve also missed quite enough 360-P+G with Sarah.
I need a custom seimitsu.
Semitsu for fighters eh? One thing I’ve learned, like cars, sticks are all preference so I won’t contest it. I just don’t care for semitsu buttons much.
Sanwa’s gate is too large for me, but that’s kind of funny coming from me playing these commercial’d horis.
It would just depend on the game at hand, I’d need a custom stick which would allow me to switch out the stick(excuse me easily switch out the stick). But as far as buttons, i like them as sensitive as possible.

hmm, bad experience online just now. i kinda wish somebody had told me in advance that sometimes you’ll just randomly get kicked to 2P and won’t have time to remap your 2P side controls should they be mapped incorrectly, thus losing to Zeromancer and Big Boss ( Zeromancer’s Pai was actually pretty nice so i’m not really complaining ) mostly due to incorrect button placing. kind of annoying, really.
i kind of wish VF5 would have stolen DOA4’s online matchmaking system…ironic how boring i find that game but how it has one of the best matchmaking systems.
