Well, Myke may not be asian, but wouldn’t he fall into the eastern catagory?
Onto tourney vids.
Seems like it was a fun tourney. Yucky Cookies was not about to get giant swung at all lol. He was ready for that damn break every
time it seems lol. Frash is my hero <3. You look like you got pretty good in the short time playing Tornado Flame. Your Lion doesn’t really seem that bad to me 4649. Once you learn maximum damage options and put them into play, a lot will go better for you I think. It’s also tough cause I realize this is a tournament setting so everyone might not be playing as well as they could. That could be the cause of some of your “dumb mistakes.”
yeah krs i felt like i was playing a LOT better in the matches before the one with chefboy.
i think he had the mental advantage because up until that match i hadn’t seen him play, having spent most of the time watching flash and others play ( also stepping outside to watch steve and combofiend’s cvs2 match ) so i had no idea what i was getting into or what to look for, what his habits might be that i could mentally prepare tactics for, etc.
work for me has been really hectic so i haven’t had time to play much since but i’ll start making a conscientious effort to try and level up some more, dunno if i can make the next C3 though sadly.
Yeah, but you shouldn’t be afraid to go for it. I was actually scared because I can’t stand lion. I find myself throwing out A LOT of random hop kicks cause I’m afraid of his lows. Also make sure you break her takedown. Thats a lot of damage you could have easily escaped from.
Little or no lag online? that’s all I needed to hear. My situation: I have a pelican stick (remodeled) and a PS3 adapter. I get no response when it’s plugged into the PC or 360. Any ideas as to why? Thx in advance.
Which doesn’t really matter for the issue of whether the game would get a release on the 360- which receives no profit from the game in arcades.
Now that Japanese arcades are beginning to struggle in some areas- we may start seeing more attention paid to the console ports. (The industry isn’t dying, but from what I’ve heard and read in some of the more rural areas the arcades have shut down)
Good lions have that effect on many people and Vanessa’s taketown are quite nasty as well but thanks to some advise I gained from Gentlemanthief I am getting better at breaking them but based what he said holds true it is guessing game. Good lions are the worst however doing a ranged mid every time you expect his ranged low or low leg sweep.
But ya see…thats what a lot of good Lion players want you to do. Cause his big damage doesn’t actually come from lows…but they’re so many good lows that it’s annoying, you almost have to block them. I got tired of trying to duck mid launchers so I just started hopkicking/kneeing them every so often. Unless I actually know the player. My yomi is so trash…=(
A huge VF gathering is happening in Southern California at the end of March weekend. Tons of players from all over the country are showing up. Free play, Team Battle, and Singles Tournament all happening. If you like VF this is the event to attend in the U.S.
It’s a shame that a great fighting games likes VF5, Third Strike, aren’t played in MLG. Instead they choose Smash Bros Melee. I’m positive the reason they chose it is to draw in the casual crowd despite only a handful of the character roster being useful.
Oh well, at least we still have Evo. I hope Evo takes off like MLG did. I rather see fighters as a competitive sport more so then FPS.
I love the VF series. I only wish they included a tutorial system like they did for VF4 evo so they can bring in the casual crowd. You would think it’s a no brainer for any fighting game.
