The New TN Thread: Jaggas and Bingos all day

So that was my first time watching that match when you played against Mr. KOF…

I was over here getting hype and I knew the outcome! lol I was watching and was like, “Man Shin-Blade done” then you just clutched it out! Man, that was crazy!

Doromac: Ahh really?? Nice. I think those two have some really good synergy. Basically because you can bring King in and do his hop kicks and bring Law back in to continue the combo. My only thing about King is that his CMD grabs are weird. He’s supposed to be a grappler but he plays more like a striker. I think he’s good as the 2nd character but I think he has problems playing on point. His normals are meh And you can keep him out kinda easy.

But I’m sorry, he probably plays just fine on point in the hands of skilled players. lol Probably going to learn Heiachi as well to go along with Law.

Thanks for the B-Day wishes peeps. Also props to Jose, O, Bishop, Chris, Marcus, Dana, Squab, Sova, Daniel, and CHARLIE for kicking it at the Fox last night. Was mad fun. Mission FAILED but we gotta do that shit again.

Shut up fag, trying to give me those gay ass drinks. I’m from the streets G. I don’t need no FUCKING fruit when I downs the liquor. And like I said, mission incomplete. You’ll need a corner store to get me there, not a prissy bar. Good shit convincing my girl that I was drunk and that you are some kind of Hispanic miracle worker and my car is still there. Smh. Y’all gone learn…

Oh for real? Well damn, that’s what’s up. And also, Sev is a better teacher than I and more knowledgeable about the concrete stuff anyway. Pretty sure he’ll have no qualms giving you crash courses and matches at Fight Night. For now, I would say pick a character that you think you like, and then go from there. I’ve stopped suggesting characters to people since in the end you’re going to play and get better with whoever it is that you truly like. Lots of strong females on the game though.

LMAO!! We rolling over here!

XTREME TO THE MAX

3X huh? Sounds stupid enough to be real.

Supposedly it’s fake. Of course Capcom is denying it but GameStop employees are claiming its in their system. Knowing cashcom, they probably have some kind of expansion planned. It’s about that green.

well i already know i want to play has Hworang and Xiaoyu. I Always played them since tekken 3 and i had fun beating my friends with them. I really dont care if they’re good in tekken 6/Tag 2 im sticking to them like how im sticking to Tira for SCV. And yeh playing SCV at final round was fun. Like those guys i played probably have been playing SC for a long time. Then here i come not playing SC since 2 and only been playing number five for 3 weeks and i made sure that they earned they’re wins because i wasnt going done without a fight. And i can only get better from there. I have yet to see a impressive Tira so far, my goal is to be the best Tira player in the U.S.

Gamestop employees are saying that Marvel expansion is in their system, but Svensson denies it. I trust random people more. lol

So I played SFxT last night at a friend’s house. The game is in fact fun. Casually messing around in it was entertaining. From a competitive standpoint, meh. I found it hard for the slower characters to get around fireballs, but I assume every character has some way to deal with them. A lot of air-to-air hits lead to combos, which was hard to get accustomed to. From playing and seeing videos, I don’t see the point in using any EX moves. Saving the three bars for easy hit-confirms into tag supers, or even two bars for single supers, seems to be a solid strategy.

Hugo was fun, but I didn’t know his combos. Ogre is pure badass, and he has strong wakeup options. His normals are slow, but he’s a crazy powerhouse.

Some ex moves give you a wall bounce. Depending on your team, it can lead to massive damage. Also, you play Marvel competitively. This game is much more competitive than that one! Lol

Ok so what makes a game competitive, I’ve heard more than once that the game is fun but not sure if competitive, I always thought as long as it was competitive and had a large user base that the came was competitive.

I was basically saying that I’d play it here and there in casuals, but I don’t think I’ll be entering tourneys in it. I don’t actually have the game yet. lol

@ Gabe: Marvel is known to be high-damage ridiculousness. I’m not even sure how I got into it competitively, but it’s made me plenty of money on the side, so no complaints here. lol

Hey, can’t get mad at that! Get that green man!’

You been eating White-Out again havent you?

I’m coming for your chair, old man. Be ready.

Also, fuck yes FUCK YES my everything is ready:

Hey guess what… If that shit’s in gamestop’s system then it’s yet another disc release. What is that, 3 iterations of the same game within like a year and a half if that?

LMAO! But YOOOOO FELIZ BIRPHDAY TO THE STRATOSPHERIC MIKE! Salute homey! Y’ALL DON’T KNOW THE LIFE OF A REAL NIGGA!

I SEE YOU NIGGA! But YO, it won’t pop off till you get the twitter going. Change that shit to @ShinBlade and let these niggas know dogg.

HAHAHAHAHAAH DUDE. I Went back and watched that shit. That is fucking GOLD.

*does Iori victory pose laugh

BUT IT’S OK MAN! Capcom is a BUSINESS. That CAPCOMitalism is something else…

Abe, Orel, and others - I am with you. I want to make it known that I actually spent a good amount of time with the game before I posted about my issues with it. I will say there is fun to be had, but like others, I don’t think I can take the game seriously. I actually spent some time in training mode with Big Jake learning some basics with my team (if you can call it that since I am not really playing this game seriously) - Bison/Law - last night. The combo system can be a lot of fun, but the combat in live matches is just awkward TO ME. It’s different than the awkwardness I felt when first learning KoF. In that game I felt the combat was much more intuitive and I actually had fun learning it and had genuine drive to get better. I just…don’t have that for SFxTek because I can’t make myself take it seriously.

“If you don’t like it, don’t play/buy it.” - Ok, well, I’m kind of at an impasse here. Before I completely dismiss this game I do want to actually try Lars. Unfortunately, he is among the 12 ON DISC DLC characters. Now, in order to be able to try him, I’d have to both buy the game AND the DLC, which people are saying don’t do if you don’t agree with that business practice. So what are my options then? Lol. I suppose I could play it at someone’s house or at the arcade. I’ll keep trying it. I will give it an honest shot for you guys.

Fuck - Jake is over here giving valid rebuttals to my concerns with the game. Lemme play this shit…

Another marvel 3 upgrade? Im still trying to keep up with U3…
why dobt they do An Ultimate 2?

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 2?

really?

“Sorry guys, <3 photoshop, but no UMVC3x coming from Capcom” - Seth Killian

I will say that Guile sounds bored now when he throws sonic boom. They should bring back the Hyper Fighting voice cause he said that shit with AUTHORITY
