Attn Tekken players
I need any advice and info you have for Dragunov, I’m using Zaibatsu but it would just be nice to have input from people I can put faces to. Good moves, good combos, also I’m not sure if it’s just me and if I’ve been spoiled with rather easy Feng combos but are his very hard cause they seem that way. Basically I’m giving Tekken another go cause MK is fun but characters with hats basically make it unfun and ruin my tournament drive.
Never thought I would see the day, someone leaving MK to go play Tekken…Kung Lao IS Tekken, you are going to be hit with a bunch of hats now =P

Hey man, for a moment I thought you were trolling the recent interest in T6, but because I am BTA and easily baited here’s what I have learned: (Note, I am a scrub)
If you already have a decent familiarity with Drag’s moves I suggest watching the Dragunov episode of Level Up Your Game on YT. Lots of great info in there.
For me, what I’ve been using is:
d/f+4, great for spacing, hits mid.
b+4,3 another nice mid, leads to kd, can’t be hitconfirmed though.
d+2, very deceptive, decently fast, low hit and tracks ok. Also lead to my little mixup with Drag in which I throw out WS 1+2 after d+2 connects. If they flinch, remain ducking or try to punish with anything less than 12 frames they get stuffed. You are also at +4 if d+2 actually hits, so their punishment window is even smaller if you decide to keep them honest with WS 1+2. If they crouch block or just block, you have high and low throws for both those positions.
d+3, good low with nice range
4,1 is pretty safe on block, and +8 on hit, giving you follwup options.
d/f+2, WS+2 - my main launchers, both go into my bnb juggle.
qcf+2,qcb+2 - alternate launchers, also go into bnb, qcb+2 is really good if you opponents throws something without enough range to tag you out of the sway back, leading to CH juggle. Otherwise, the range on it isn’t goot enough to throw out raw.
1,2 or 1,3,2 or 2,1,xx are my main small punishes. All 10 frames if I’m not mistaken. 1,2 hits mid on 2.
my bnb after launch is 4,1, 1,3,2B!, 3,1,2.
Hope some of that makes sense, and doesn’t sound super dumb, as I’ve said, I’m just starting out too and that’s what I’ve been getting results with so far.

- We are downloading entire games, so the files are pretty large.
- PSN still sucks.
Maybe all of the above? …Downloading Infamous and that racing game myself.

Man its just PSN. I downloaded infamous yesterday and began the download at around 11am Saturday. Infamous didn’t finish downloading until about 1:30am this morning then it had to install (which wasn’t so bad). Its a pretty massive file too (7056MB I think) So yeah, you will be waiting awhile homie!
This week should be a good week for fighting games. E3 and SYF4:AE (Y=Yun). Guess I better brush up on some match vids!

I’m gonna have to buy a new pad. My black one that I usually use doesn’t read the 1 and 3 directions 100% of the time, and that crap old wired one gives me the 3 direction when I’m just holding 2.
With the way I hold my knuckle on the d-pad, I need a d-pad like the 360 one, except without the indentions on the 1, 3, 7, and 9 directions. Just a plain circle would suffice.
I use Horipad EX2. I highly recommend it, the d-pad is excellent
Yeah, that’s my problem though. That d-pad looks great, but with the way I play (with the top of my knuckle centered in the middle of the d-pad), I wouldn’t be able to quickly roll qcf, qcb, 360s, and 720s. I like the 360 pad because it’s not hard on my knuckle and I can roll inputs easily. With PS2/PS3 pads, it’s actually pretty difficult for me to accurately get diagonal inputs.
Somebody get mad at somebody, it’s boring in here.
