Yeah… that observation (lots of kung laos) was not connected to how I think they were playing well and exciting to watch… two different observations. The footsies and blocking were cool to watch IMHO, and I was glad and entertained to see actual “fighting game” play at high level.
The kung lao point was a passive aggressive attempt at deflecting resentment from my main to him.

Kitana: I want to pick her up (oh yeah you know what I mean). General strat? BnB? Dunno what to do with her combo-wise, right now just enjoying throwing fans.

Raiden: Everybody’s BnB at the tourney was 3,1,2 dash up shocker, 3,1,2, fly. Why not 3,1,2 - 3,1,2, shocker, 3,1, fly? No dash required and more damage… I drop it sometimes so maybe it’s not guaranteed depending on position and maybe even stance. Anyone know?

We’ve got this traditional mexican grocery/restaurant that makes/sells “aguas frescas”. Mashed up and strained fruit and water and sugar. My favorite by far is the watermelon one. “Sandia”. Huge cup of bright pink deliciousness.
It’s sad that I’m the only person who saw what you did there. 
Then again, I’m the guy who listens to Back in Black at least 150+ times a year.
That tournament could have been summed up with a looping animated .gif of 2 kung laos spinning at the same time 2 feet apart.
That Florida player Ozzy was pretty damn funny, Jason asked him what character he uses, he goes “The bomb trap”
oh, and there were some drunk as fuck guys there yelling shit on day one, and man they were pretty funny too. A Nightwolf player was on the stream and when he won, as the drunk guys are watching Nightwolf win animation, the one drunk dude yells “WHERE’D HE GO?!”. To make it even better, the player (I think his name was Sochettra Math) did the rain dance off the stage.

Kung Lao is essentially the Yun of the game, just have to deal with him, but he’s obviously better than any character in the game, no question. You have to be blind not to see that. Eventually the only character to overtake him I think would be Shang Tsung but even then it’s hard to imagine that knowing all the crazy stuff Kung Lao has.
True story: 2 different Kung Lao players came up to me asking me about patches because they didn’t want their character patched. Obviously I have nothing to do with it but I find it funny the complaints about other characters in other fighting games and the overlooking of this when people are using a character that is obviously better than anyone else. I can’t recall too many people that don’t believe their character is obviously better because they are just used to using that character, but it’s not black and white…
as far as Kitana goes, Forward + 4, 1 is her overhead starter, you can dash in and do 33 fan lift or just any juggle after that, but she has a lot of continuation combos with EX bar and cancelling her EX fans…Throwing fans, mixing up ground game with her Douwn Back 3 or Down Back 4 games alternating with other ground kicks is good as well. I know she has some very good pushback with (I forget this) 12 Down Toward 2 pressure
Raiden combo you are talking about is not guaranteed because it is easier to drop. You need to learn Forward 2, 4 and juggle with Superman or jump in with combo starter and do that combo. Corner stuff should be 334 started…
