that just seems like too convenient of an answer to me. The only other time I can say that such a thing has happen to me was me dhc glitching with tron and zero, but even then that would show in the input display.
HOLY SHIT I JUST REALIZED THE NIGGA FROM THE BURSS VIDEO IS WEARING THE MARVEL 3 SHUMA GORATH TEE
(oh and don’t go see Immortals)
Yup I lied, still can’t get more than one of Strange’s loops. Any suggestions?
gah, this puts me in a predicament. Do I want to go to my job on my day off. fuck.
Dax you coming tomorrow?
Richard : You wouldn’t be able to play when you worked anyway, and where else would the gatherings be? LOL
Looks like I should get there right at around 1, so hopefully you can hold a match? Either way, unless we do a Dark Souls PVP tournament instead of AE, I’m going to get rocked in the face. Haven’t sat down with AE for anything worthwhile in like 2 weeks. Its been like… Wake up, Dark Souls, Work between 8 and 11 hours, Dark Souls, Bed. Since I’ve been working. Also, Vergil, Wesker and Dorm are all dumb as shit, and that makes the new marhvrill more fun, even though I know I’d just have to play Asty or Pat one time for my head to explode in disgust.
same here in possibly holding the match and getting there at 1.
Well, I mean, I do sort of have 3 guys out here that play nightly, with another 2 people thinking of getting into it. So I guess my house? I can talk to them and see if they want to head out there on those days
Eugene, post some videos to your youtube account of you playing UMvC3. I have yet to watch you play 3 at all let alone Ultimate.
I got it off multiple ways last night. Using hyper X factor into H teleport, impact palm, then starting the loop. Then the loop off of the launcher was a bit more difficult requiring that you delay the first impact palm almost last minute then and then jumping immediately to j.M, j.H, j f.H, land, j.M, j.H, j f.H iirc. And then there is the jump loop off of a ground impact palm, otg orb into an alteration of the loop I posted for sure. I don’t really remember the notation because I just kind of tried to replicate it according to my photographic memory. I’ll get a video up if you still can’t do it.
Now that I’m testing this more thoroughly, I’m gonna copy pasta what I posted in the comments section of the video roundup
[details=Spoiler]"I just want to say, along with further testing that the dhc has to be inputted immediately to have this happen, which most apparently don’t do, and that I think it might have to do with the startup of the hyper, seeing as I got this to also occur with different hypers other than hawkeyes. I’m not holding any direction btw. I’ll have a follow up video later. I also forgot to mention that this only occurs when doing a qcf hyper and having a dp hyper available.

So chances are that could be a legit explanation for certain cases.
Some guy in the hawkeye thread posted a real explanation for it, so I guess it’s figured out.
I will be headed out as soon as the two Marvel guys I am giving a ride show up. Takes around 2 hours, so I may not make it in time for my tourney.
Yeah, that was the best explanation I had seen so far. It’s still a problem, imo.
definitely
Astaroth, going to make it today. Jacob (Orpheus) is riding up with me and was curious.

Umm…guess I won’t go see Immortals then.
Indeed.
Haha. I don’t think it’s like N Groove because if I remember correctly you couldn’t roll backwards, and you could power-up. XIII you can roll forwards or backwards and it doesn’t have a power-up. The rest of that N Groove stuff takes most from 98’s system and probably a hybrid of other KOFs. I think XIII is most like 2002. You can perform EX moves the same way as 3s or SF4. And then some supers have an EX version, that costs two stocks. Throws are performed like in 2002: close C throws them back in front of you, close D throws them behind. And you have to tech C throws with C or D throws with D. But you can also piano it if you time right.
Basically I’d say that if you used 2002’s basic system as a reference point you should be fine.
And the whole drive cancelling thing, LOL, well with half of HD bar/1 stock, you could liken it to a sort of variated GG Roman Cancel or possibly FADC’ing but with restrictions.
…Then with full HD meter/2 stocks you can go into omfg V-Ism/Hyper Drive Mode by pressing B+C that allows you to juggle the opponent, except it follows a systematic way of juggling or chaining. And you can do the drive cancels for 10% of that meter as it is depleting but you can also do these on block in HD Mode.
…You can do level 3s/Neo Maxes if you have full HD meter and 3 super stocks, naked or you can cancel into them by cancellable normals, cancellable command normals, or specials. If in HD mode you can max cancel into them(lvl 1->lvl 3) in middle of combos if you have 3 super stocks and so long as that HD meter hasn’t completely drained yet, even at 1%.
It sounds confusing as fuck, and I only played game once and haven’t really done any of this yet. But I had it explained to me thoroughly and just watched videos to see it myself until it started making sense lol.
