You know what I just realize? SRK now looks like Smashboards!
Everytime I try posting stuff the site thinks I’m going to double post and tells me how I need to wait 15 seconds before making a new post.
I wish “Settings” aka User CP were on the left side of the layout still. It’s so awkward going to the right side when all the other links are on the left.
it’s defaulting to quickreply, but for some reason after you post it goes into normal reply and then is like, wait bitch, but the quick reply got posted anyway, that’s what happened to me earlier

That is the temporary fix for the double-posting issue.
I don’t go on SRK for like a week and then this happens…
I like the idea of the whole contribution system, but the current layout of these forums is horrible. It feels like someone sucked the life out of SRK and replaced it with a cemetery theme. I can live without the rep system but these new forums are lacking in style and customizability. Why have avatars been removed, and how come I can’t customize my skins like I used to be able to? If this is just a beta, then fine, but if this is permanent then this is just horrible. The site feels foreign and lacks any sort of sophistication. I should have the option to choose whether I want to go with the “New” SRK layout or the old one. Blue steel is a must. Also this could just be on my end, but the area where it asks for my name and password is being covered up by the search box. Its barely visible.
Digging the new layout, nice contrast, easier on the eyes…

Everything seems so damned huge. Granted I’m not using the biggest resolution in the world, but I could see 2-3 posts at a time on the old SRK. 1 - 1 1/2 on this.
Also SRK isn’t SRK without Blue Steel. This may as well be a board about molasses.
Avatars seem to take a couple of seconds to load now.
Anyway, I’ve made a thread for discussing the aesthetic changes made to the site in the feedback section for the new site.
From what has been said they have to reupload the skins so that may take awhile. Rep I do not care about, Galaga Shields being gone is awful though. They are pretty much trying to ride the wave of popularity SF 4 has right now, that means making things alot more mainstream. Which also means it will suck for those of us whom have been here for awhile. Also I want SRK Black back, the old one.
So am I the only one here that can’t see avatars?
I miss my color options for the background but that will come soon I hope.

Check your SETTINGS [upper right corner] and see if your avatar options is checked/ON. If that isn’t the issue, try another browser. Maybe you got an addon that is stopping you from viewing avatars.
Aside from a few bugs, overall look is great.
