First MVS cart I ever bought was RBS, that game will always have a special place in my heart. Typically play Mai in it, just a fun character to use. I’m sure that most people are playing it on the PS2 compilation set, are there any differences in that compared to the MVS original? I’m curious since I don’t own the PS2 game but I do have all the games in cart form.

If anyone is up for any RB games, I’ll play them on 2DF or p2p Kaillera.

If you wanna have alot of fun though, try having some “Out Of Bounds Maniacs” matches with me in RB1. Basically for your win to count, you have to win by out of bounds. So throw on an infinite time cheat and infinite health cheat, and go at it like crazy trying to knock each other out of the ring. :smiley:

Haha, most of these rankings are pretty weird but the ones I quoted are simply ridiculous IMO. Seems like they really hate Chonshu or something.

Yeah seems they dislike Chonshu since his rankings are always low (other than FF3 since he was a boss). The rankings don’t add in things like their specials, priority, mindgames, etc and from what I remember, Chonshu was all about mindgames.

The Jin brothers seem to suffer the same fate in NGBC with their lack of reach and power. I’m a Chonrei player and I really don’t see much a reason to use Chonshu when it comes to brute force (I’d rather go with rushdown and pure damage over beating around the bush hoping the opponent falls into one of my traps).

I wish the Jins would be in more games since I really like both of them. I was hoping for a KOF year where they would be with Iori or something lol.

For Kim, all I remember was that he was a powerhouse in FFRB and started getting worse and worse through the RB series.

I don’t play RB games much since everyone here only sticks to KOF (and Metal Slug) when it comes to SNK but I think RB series aged well for a very old game. Not exactly sure on the gameplay but at least the graphics in my eyes is still wonderful and detailed up to this day (FF3 and FFRB had really awesome stages IMO).

Funny they rate Bob that high just because of his risky infinite. I’m also pretty damn sure Chonshu has the best damn mixups in the game too so that’s odd. And Kim? Are they kidding? He’s up there with Rick. Hard to believe that this is RB2 they’re talking about.

Well like I said, the character rankings are just ratings about how they were built. How people use/abuse the characters is a totally different story.

I agree with you about Bob. I think they rate him high because of his infinite. :frowning:

I also have ratings for games like KOF 96, 98, 99 (Neo Geo Freak & chinese version), 2000, SS4, etc but ehhhhh that’s alot lol. The SS4 ratings are interesting though since you can see the differences in both their modes. KOF 96 and SS4 were from Gamest I believe, not Neo Geo Freak.
