Any theories as to why this game never took off? I’m guessing because it wasn’t ported out until years later. Or simply bad luck.
I tried that, and it works but its difficult to get out consistently, and very easy to fuck up. In my experience when Krauser is on the offense, if he backs off for a second the other guy 9 times out of 10 will mash out an AA or do a crouching A into whatever combo. Plus his crouching A is pretty slow. What I found out and works really well with Krauser’s 360 is to do jump in then early A or B so it whiffs, buffer 360 as you do the A or B, then as you land hit C. Works really well.
I keep thinking that the RB2 players are going to crawl out from under their rocks and talk about this for a bit. I’ve been playing on 2DF have had surprisingly good connections, even with a Jap player (!). Have had quite a few winning streaks. Any advice on the Krauser vs Rick match? It’s a hard one because Krauser is slow, and doesn’t have much to punish Rick. I try to keep him out with Blitzballs, and anticipate a jump in with either my Counter or Kaiser Claw, his AB is not very good at keeping Rick out. Failing that, I just go with Kim or Terry and beat him good.
Hopefully the game will be on PSN by the end of the year =)

crouching A into combo, far double B combo, use of counter for ricks rush punch, use of command throws. thats basically it, along with some blitzbalss here and there. i think crouching A is krausers fastest attack and it can combo into crouching C into leg tomohawk for some nice damage, keep them away after that with the double B combo. once your in spower he needs to watch out for those kaisers. your deadly rave combos from light and a lot of times you can also punish with gigantic cyclone.

kim and terry can shut rick down if you have a lead, otherwise it might become hard. i thik rick has a harder time dealing with a good geese (but then again, a good geese is hard for anybody).
I’m not good at Geese, I can get down his combos and everything but I can’t cancel into anything consistently with Away+B. And that’s a huge part of his strategy.
I’ve noticed that it’s harder to linesway and attack from it against Rick, because he recovers very quickly from his specials. So if I linesway, and do a C attack, just before that comes out the Rick player will counter it, and sometimes they counter the B attack from linesway. What can Krauser do to Rick after being knocked down, and Rick does his unblockable? I’ve tried his HCB+B command grab, and Rick is never in range for it to connect and everything else is too slow. I feel like the only thing I can do is linesway on wakeup, then block his D attack and try to take it from there. Because as I mentioned, he recovers very quickly from his attacks and it’s really hard to punish him from the linesway.
Ditto on Terry and Kim destroying Rick.
Okay, probably my last question here. Sorry I haven’t played any of the guys I PM’d, I have weird sleeping hours these days.
I’ve noticed like 4 Brazilians (no exaggeration) doing this: they pick Andy, they play turtle, use projectiles to keep me out, and they always do the Shadow Split (Downback, forward+punch) as I jump at him so I’m out of his range and they do a sweep when I land. And there’s nothing I can do to punish that Shadow Split, I can’t even do a crossup on them because it recovers so quickly. These Brazilians are very content to troll by doing this.
What can I do to punish that bs? My main is Krauser as mentioned, and my backups are Terry and Kim.
Wait how can you combo his projectile after Leg Tomahawk?
I think they have to be jumping.

Answering my own question: I just went with Terry, did Powerwave at fullscreen, forced him to jump at me, and did Downfoward A to keep him out. I just trolled him back, and the dude left. Evil Dragon and a few other dudes (mostly Brazillian) like trolling with Andy on Supercade.
BTW, we still gotta’ set up a time for everyone to play this on Supercade.

I may as well ask here: Any advice against Duck King? This is the one character I have real difficulty with, I’ve gotten used to Rick but Duck is like Pokemon he uses confusion. That Downfoward C dash is just insane. It goes through pretty much anything you throw at him, what’s annoying is that there’s no tech throws in this game, so it’s a free grab for him most of the time. Or he can do his Grab Super. If I Linesway as he does it, he recovers very quickly and can hit me out of that lane. And seriously fuck that blanka ball from the Linesway. Jeeze. I’ve used Krauser and Terry and this Brazillian dude just kicked my ass with Duck.
You guys really should bug Ponder to add this game to GGPO. Dont see how its not already on there.

Hi!, just i have to say that next weekend i’ll host an offline tournament here in my house. There will be tournaments of Garou MOTW, KOF 2002 um and GGXX Accent Core.
But i’ll have Exhibition games, justo to play casually and (hopefully) motivate the players to play and learn some of the games. One of the exhibition games is precisely RB2!!

Anyone know how to fight Duck King? This Brazillian dude just kicked the shit out of me with him. The big thing is that fucking invincible slide he has. It goes through anything, and he can cross you up, and do a crouching combo into whatever, or just grab you. This guy was trolling with that one move. The other thing he would do is linesway and do that Blanka Ball from linesway that has insane priority (you cannot hit him out of Linesway when he does that), AA’s, and can be comboed into. I know there’s some sort of trick to fighting this character but I can’t figure it out.
