You are right in that inputs are stored a very long time in this game, which can be a real headache for characters with charge moves. (Read my post on how to avoid accidental specials using charge characters, somewhere in the topic)
Well, considering you can just do the 360 from walk or dash without buffering it, I don’t see why you would do it like that. If it works well for you, go ahead and use it, but I did not really find any difference doing it from a buffer or doing it normally.
The “throw lockout safe frames” are huge in this game. This really makes throws more viable for defense than for offense. I would really like to remove the safe frames after block stun, or at least reduce the number of safe frames (safe frames after getting up is ok), but I guess that is something I will never see. Besides, doing this would probably break Bob completely considering his insane normal grab.
throws… i really hate yamazakis throw command. if it was easier his thow game along with his normal game would be crazy. only drawback of his throw. great damage and huge range. a damn shame.
edit: yeah damn, yamas small hitboxes are waaaay too thin against these small bitches.
Talking Yamazaki, back to 1999, in a MIRC chat I was talking about RB2 and some guy from Peru told me about a combination he made with Yamazaki throw command and Special (Special in latinamerica means p.power or s.power), but I wasn’t able to prove it ever.
Was I fooled or he was right?
you mean shortcut? like f, db, du + C? dont know. 360 is basically a 270, so dont know how he would have a shortcut on this. if a shortcut is what you meant.
I actually had an idea that might make it possible to work but I dont know if the throw itself would let you combo afterwards. You would need Chonrei to throw out his multi hit fireball then have yama do the command grab as it hits him from the back. The more I think about it though it probably wouldn’t work in the way I’m thinking.
I tried the GGPO hack with RB2 yesterday and it worked flawlessly. http://rapidshare.com/files/165131497/ddsom_ggpo.fs.html
Here’s the save state that I’m using with it right now. You’ll need the RBFF2 rom and you can make a dummy ddsom rom.
Quick question (though this should probably be in the Tech Talk forum), but if I would like to record some matches against my friends, which program should I use? I am playing the game using the Kawaks emu; I’ve tried HyperCam 2 but it lags way too much. I’ve gotten a couple of my friends into RB2 and we were interested in getting some vids up.
Duck’s AB is crazy. Best AB in the game and better than many special AA’s. If timed correctly it stops all sorts of shit from jump ins to anything that doesn’t hit low, basically (and the hitbox is really low) and is pretty damaging if you follow up with a Duck Ball. It has a ton of upper body invulnerability frames (12) and a lot of range.
So I got Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 2 a while back and I must say whoever said play Real Bout games for a good intro to the art of the combo is a fucking genius. In the past few days not only have I noticed muscle memory staring to form on various joystick motions but I’m really starting to think I may be an SNK guy.
Ha ha. It’s a joke amongst Mystic and I, but mostly because it’s a really great game that’s underplayed. I’m always down to play it online so you can add me on AIM or MSN. I also suggest you join the #SRKSNK channel on Efnet on IRC.
