it is, though you can use it as a breakshot AND use it in combos. which is the best way to use it. sorry bout your detector, im just a sarcastic motherfucker you know.
No worries, just making sure I wasn’t being too ridiculed, haha. In other news…Laurence feels so basic in this game compared to RBS Granted, the sword stab and bloody cutter are good keep-away tools, but still.
Yes Laurence is pretty basic compared to RBS…thats the truth. He got toned down quite a bit…Why I dont know…
lauwrence plays completely unique unlike his RBS self. only good thing about RBS was the chip damager QCF*3 move. his dp actually got better even though he cant throw a blade with it. the worst part about laurence is that his jump ins got done in (in RB2). now you either have to put a B before the C or jump very damn low to be able to hit and combo on. he might not have the same abusable stuff he had in RBS but at least hes more fun to play in RB2 and and actually feels like a unique character instead of one of the many same in RBS. the A, B, fC, bC into special/super gets kinda boring when you use it with over half of the cast.
Where are the vids of the tourney DarkGeese?
Ok. Enough.
You two God 2.0 and Ghostpilot.
You have been into RB2 community since months ago I think. You made some posts where I can see you know the game very well, and in fact there’s a video of you talking about.
I think you played in Kaillera before 2DF with a very good level, but since 2DF saw the light, you have dissapeared from the scene.
What happened?
Well, what I’m want to say is come to 2Df or Kaillera if you prefer and let’s have some good games. I’m not saying “I’m the best I going to crush you”, but I want to challenge you both.
With few exceptions, good challenges have gone for me. I need more.
Yeah, yeah, I’m sick in this game but who cares? It’s has been in my life since 10 years ago so I have my rights =P
I don’t understand the timing of juggling Rising Tackle from Fire Kick. I’ve never been able to it in any game Terry has it in (RB2, KOF 98, SvC MotM). Is there something I’m missing?
I can mash it out in the corner but thats about it.
obviously you are missing something. in 98 you gotta charge down when doing the firekick and before it ends you actually gotta perform the rising tackle. in RB2 it means your too far from your enemy to hit them (unless your having trouble performing the move, then i cant help you) after the firekick. you can kara cancel the f+B into it so it has more range. but the furthest opponents will probably always be missed. besides the firekick isn’t the best option in combos outside of the corner or in combos that have you distancing yourself too much from your enemy. if your lucky you’ll still hit 1 hit of the firekick. if your unlucky you’ll just slide right into their crotch so you can eat the biggest possible combo anybody can land on you thats not corner based.
So you cancel out of the move before it ends, but you can’t just juggle it afterwards?
Timing; in RB2-
Perform the Fire Kick then quickly Hold Down, once Terry does the 2nd kick quickly press U+K. Practice to get the timing right.
You can go on #srksnk you know.
As for Terry’s fire kick into tackle… Try doing fire kick into a weak burn knuckle. It’s a bit more hard to confirm but you can continue pressure after it hits.
I have a question of my own. Let’s say I do Yama’s juggle (A, df C), how come I can’t connect it to his dust kick? And when I do connect it (or some other combo), I have trouble with the spacing of the pursuit attack and it really sucks missing it. What am I doing wrong?
You talking about his :dp: + :snkb: special the overhead kick? If so only the second hit the overhead part itself hits. You have to do the stomp as soon as they land on the ground for it to connect. It also depends on how close/far you are from them when doing :snka:, :df: + :snkc:. If your not in close enough the :dp: + :snkb: will usually whiff depending on the character.
It is my favorite combo finish. After second kick you must do the rising tackle. For a better view, hold u to jump right after it ends fire kick, so you’ll see the right timing.
For Yamaz, right after df+C, do f,d,df+C and inmediatly d,d+C. Don’t wait for the stomp, imagine is a stand combo, do not follow Yamaz animation moves, but the secuence.
Hey, guys! I just wanted to let everyone know that I posted a Fatal Fury Special thread in the Other Games section, just in case anyone wants to try and get into that game a bit with me. I don’t really know who plays and who doesn’t play. All I know is that I’m getting a bit bored with Capcom games (especially after seeing the piece of crap that SF4 has turned out to be…), and alongside RB2 and Battle Coliseum, I really want to start diversifying my taste in fighting games. Feel free to check out the thread and leave input and feedback! :woot:
like mal and noc said. problem with yama juggling the dp+B move is that yama has to be dead close to the opponent to juggle after the launcher. in 1 backplanes it combos easier IIRC from the f+A, C or B, C combo. do stomp right when you hit the op, don’t wait for animations cause you’ll be too late.
p.s. the dp+K combo is just for show. after a launcher combo always go for the super. if you cant super its better to do the knife combos as they have more range and do more damage. though stomp isnt guaranteed you can still punish them if they try to get up quickly.
LoL
Shad and Fullmetal have started to stop my game style and is becoming harder to finish them like weeks ago.
Good Laurence and Billy.
Can’t wait you arstal. Hon-Fu could be thoughest as ever.
Same with DeadlyRave and his Rick. Just a few more breakshots… a few more.
But meanwhile, Mai still on top =P
Sup guys. I checked the thread for this but may have missed it.
Can anyone tell me how to do the Geese combo f+A, C, 360+A? For some reason i can never get the 360 to come out even when it all hits.
You have to cancel the most fast as you can C into the 360+a. With some pratice you should do it fine.
Also for chonrei users, i notice an interesting stuff. When you do a dash jab then down, chonrei will slide a bit far longer than his regular dash jab (like mai and her dash, b+c actually).
@Josh : it would be cool to link those post from God0.2 in the compedium :
