I actually thought that the XboX owners were joking until I talked to someone who got really upset over this, so Im starting to think that they DO actually believe this.
xbox live>>>>>playstation network. and most of the games that are ported over from the 360 to the ps3 look like crap(Bayonetta). 360’s got some pretty good exclusives too
but i’m all ps3 for now. online’s free, and they got Uncharted 2, so i’m not complaining for now lol

so, and I am not going to argue, as Im really not that type of person, but… you have to pay for XBL and PSN is free, but I cant see the difference between the two at all… so what are you guys seeing that is so much better than PSN… and the PSN has a browser, XBL doesnt… Im just wondering.
XBL’s infrastructure is a lot better. In general, the service is just really tight and robust. Hell, even if you go for XBL Silver, you still have access to a more content than you do on PSN, but that’s just because everyone utilizes it more.
My whole, XBox > PS3 thing was just me exaggerating, TBH. But the bottom line is that XBL is just more fleshed out. I mean, yeah, you still have to pay to play online, but the infrastructure is just super solid. And if $50/year breaks you, then you probably shouldn’t even own a game console, because that’s not expensive.
That isn’t to say that PSN is bad at all, because it definitely isn’t. There are still things that PSN has that XBL doesn’t(web browser being a perfect example). I guess it all depends on the platform. If you like your PlayStation more than your Xbox, you aren’t losing anything.
EDIT: To add to this, it was a fact that most early multiplatform games weren’t nearly as good as their XBox counterparts, but I’m sure that it was because people weren’t used to the hardware. The games of the past couple of years have been amazing on both ends, and you don’t see cases like Bayonetta’s PS3 gayness anymore. In fact, I think Modern Warfare 1 was the first game that was multiplat to nail it perfectly on PS3, and there have been a lot more titles like that.

But yeah im with ya, I think the PSN service is solid and the interface just has a better feel to it, so like you said… its more just personal preference.
So XboX isnt really “better” than the PSN, and the PSN isnt really “better” than the XboX just depends on what you like.

and thats probably another thing, I dont really play games on the Playstation with the exception of SF4 and Gran Turismo, and I have like three games on the XboX. I use PS3 more for entertainment, movies (Blu-Ray), Tv (hulu) and Playon, I also manage all my Videos (sony hd camcorder) and my Music and my pictures through the Playstation. Probably why I like it so much more than the XboX.
