I have been talking to Marc and Family fun center about the current tournament format.
He has expressed interest in allowing everyone to bring their own controllers its just that there are a couple of issues that need to be addressed first.
1: Batteries. When and if someone brings a wireless controller and the batteries die mid match?
I say that we should dq said individual. What do you guys think?
2: Controller vs Sign in issue on 360
This is why no one running tournaments anywhere uses the xbox, they all use PS3 machines, because the Playstation doesnt care what controller you use, or when you use it. There are no sign in/out issues.
I have suggested that I bring my PS3 and we use that for the tournament. Does everyone have a PS3 controller? What do you guys think?
3: Cash prize.
Right now they have a cash prize that involves tokens??!!
I say scratch that and offer a cash pot. Say we go with a 40.20.10 format.
Thats 40% to 1st place, 20% to 2nd and 10% to 3rd.
then you give 30% to house, so that FFC makes something.
What do you guys think a fair sign up ammount would be, if you think any ammount?
4: Sundays
Sundays are a good day for most of us, but not always for the guys that host the tournament.
For example Marc cant guarantee a time every sunday.
But from what I understand, there are two other guys that also help with the tournament, so what are their schedules/
Also, I am always available on sunday and can guarantee the same time every week. I dont need to be paid by FFC to run this tournament, I just need for them to supply the arena. 
What do you guys think.
I need as much feedback as I can get in order to give Marc some better ideas to make this tournament a bigger and better thing than it is right now.
Plus we need to see someone else in the finals for once… yeah?

also devon thats a good idea, if they moved 4 to the KOF cabinet it wouldnt be a problem with me cuz all that stuff is new, but i do have a ps3 stick i can bring up to the center and play with for tournaments

ha, well that wonderful kid of mine decided to infect my pc with the Google Redirect virus.
I just got that cleaned out and converted one of the videos last night, I ran a test upload to youtube this morning but wont be able to check the reason why it didnt upload until later today.
If that succeeded then I will work on the other videos tonight and tomorrow night.
I am still hoping to have all the videos uploaded by the weekend.
It all sounds good to me.
All i know is if the tournaments are on saturday, there is a 99% chance I won’t be there.
Get it on Sunday is all I ask for, nothing else matters to me. I come to play.
LOL problem would be I have to take work off on Sundays for tournaments unless they are in the evening. It’s all good though the competition is worth it
I know for a fact your schedule is much more flexible than mine. Like, is your job going to fire you because you can’t work on a sunday once a month or every other month? No. Mine will (except with Saturdays).
Saturdays = impossible for me. You don’t have a day of the week that it is “impossible” for you. That is just how it is at my job, and it isn’t that way with yours, which makes your post pointless.
Regardless, it isn’t about you, or me. It is about the majority.
We need more input, but I know specifically at least 3 people that can’t do it on Saturdays and the majority that makes no difference to them be it on saturday or sunday because they either:
A) Don’t work on either day
or
B) Work on both days
So it makes no difference to them what day it is on.
Then there are like a handful of people that HAVE to work on saturday (myself included) and I am unaware of anyone who HAS to work on Sunday…
I see no reason why it shouldn’t be sunday other than the guy who ran it can’t consistently do it, but if Devon is trying to work around that, then I think everyone would be all for it.
Again, we need more input…
Yo. What’s the scene like up there in Nebraska? I’ll be out at Offutt for a few days in September and would like to get some games in in my free time.
the scene here is good, most of us play at the family fun center on friday and saturday nights. feel free to come up we are usually the only ones at the cabs.
