@MrHalfAwake - Please correct theprodigy too.
@Bpunk - Too me the artworks look great no critique needed. I’d just suggest the 2nd one as a better one than the first.

@_@ MUST…HAVE!! NOW’Z PLZ…for te-s ofcourse! =P
lol thanks :)… i just printed the first one out… I’m waiting for Art to send it now. I want to see how it looked on the TE-S before i make final revisions. Oh the thing is, though, I made some changes before I sent it. I’ll add the picture back here in a few minutes so you can see what I did.
I also made changes based on the TEK stick. I’m going to order one… probably Monday, so I can start building it, so I removed the darker makoto on the left to simplify the front, and will be adding her as an etching on bottom to accompany the bottom artwork. As far as the front art is concerned, I centered the background Makoto in the blank space and made her a little more opaque. I think it looks nice.
Oh yeah… I got the clear sanwa buttons too :)… I bought 2 sets on accident (so now I have 12 clear, 4 TL Black and 4 TL Red), So now I have to buy the stick or else WTF else am I going to do with all these buttons??? lmao. Anway, yeah I’ll post my updated ideas soon…
Those are pretty cool, I’ve always been a fan of the paneled look but I can never seem to find enough good images to work with any of my ideas.
This is my most recent one, it’s a little uninspired, not a whole bunch of work went into it, but I love the way it looks and I might end up getting it printed.
Project GiantSword template added to the first post, thanks Montoia.
Would anyone give me any suggestions on my stick art? This is honestly my first time ever using Photoshop (I’ve had some very minor experience with Adobe Illustrator but the knowledge I have of that program does NOT translate to much on PS) and this is proving to be quite difficult. I wanted like black dots in a kind of comic style print over the gradient background, couldn’t figure it out. I also wanted to do green and yellow rings (Iron’s fists colors) around the buttons (I don’t know why that fireball clipart is on it …), and a nice looking purple crosshair for the stick, but again, I know nothing lol. Any suggestions/harsh criticism welcome
try the halftone filter on the background layer
EDIT: oh, wait. um… i usually use patterns for something like that. make a new document, about 40X40 or whatever size seems best to you with a transparent background. use the elliptical marquee tool or circular paintbrush and make a circle that is about half the size of the canvas. go to edit/define pattern, and then use edit/fill on your template to fill with that pattern. i think one of those two options may work.
I had a few minutes to kill, so i did these. the first one is what i believe you were asking for. the layer properties are set to “overlay”.

This one below was the halftone filter run through a gradient. i actually like your idea better.

That is quite possibly the coolest Spidey template I’ve ever seen. Just awesome!
Those look amazing, thanks for the tips!
Haha thank you. I try…
Next time you have a few minutes to kill, would you mind swapping out Strider for Iron Fist and the corresponding colors? xD
no problem, but i don’t think quoting images goes over well here. in the future you might want to exit those out in your quotes.
also when it comes to basic stuff like crosshairs, a quick google search can be pretty helpful.
EDIT: i dont actually have a high res Iron Fist image. i was going to use him at first, but im not sure where to get full size MVC3 art (some help on this would be appreciated). i put strider in that spot randomly. i think your best bet is to use the suggestions i gave you to try to add him into the template yourself. i am a big supporter of learn by doing, and the stuff i did on that template was fairly straightforward. you should learn it.
Sorry about that, I didn’t know about the quoting images. But yeah I’ll keep working at it, thanks again
Edit those out please or I’ll have to infract.
I took them out, sorry it won’t happen again
Hello, I was wondering how to use the mayflash template in the 1st post. I put it into photoshop, but i cant do anything with it.
Help would be appreciated.
Hello, I have a query hopefully someone can help me with.
I received a print for my TE from Art’s Hobbies, and I’d accidentally uploaded the file with one of the layers missing, meaning there’s a section of my artwork that never got printed out.
I’m looking to get a new print and cut to replace it, but as I’m in the UK shipping from Tek-Innovations is expensive for just one print out. The original order contained a couple of prints, some plexi, dustwasher etc so the shipping cost was reduced, but I really don’t want to have to spend 3 times the cost of the print in shipping costs. It was after all a mistake I’ve already spent money on, so I’d like to make it as cheap as possible a mistake to fix!
So, I’m basically looking for a european online store who provides a print and cut service, with cheaper shipping rates than ordering from the States. I’ve previously bought from ArcadeForge, but he no longer offers the print service. I’ve looked also at Shadaloo.eu and they do offer a print service but can only do the cut if you buy a corresponding plexi. I already have a plexi so I don’t want to buy one that I don’t need just in order to get the holes cut.
The only other option is getting it printed locally and doing the cutting myself - but I’m completely cack handed at doing anything like that and I’ll inevitably balls it up so I’d much prefer to pay somebody to do the cutting for me.
Can anybody suggest a site that could do the print and cut the holes for a reasonable price to the UK? If yes, then I’d be happy to hear from you
