And I agree I probably won’t play it but back in the day if they released it faster I would buy it in a heartbeat. The problem is that they milked this series so much and we had to go out of our way to play the spins offs and shit that span multiple platforms. I swear if I have to see traverse town again I’m gonna flip my shit. Same towns, music and bosses like 6 times in a row or something.

And that’s fair but again, saying “End the franchise already” is such a waste of a thought. We all know the issues with the franchise at this point. Either you’ve accepted them, or you already moved on years ago and there’s nothing wrong with either.

You act as if the series existing is ruining the world or that people are incapable of just…you know, ignoring or not playing it. Like shit, I knew KH was one of the most hated franchises mostly due to the “multiple console” shit they got up to (which was legitimately frustrating), but I didn’t realize so many people wanted it to just die.
I love and hate KH. I’m invested the same I was with bleach. I have to ride it till the wheels fall off…
I was hella into KH when 1&2 dropped but then they just meandered all over the place and took so long to give me a legit sequel I kinda lost interest. I realized how much so when I bought KH2.5 or whatever and failed to finish either KHIIFM or BBSFM both games I was super hype about back in the day.
Not saying I want to franchise to die, I’m too indifferent about it at this point, but I will probably scoop KHIII when I find it for cheap just to see how things play out, if the games good that is.
At this point just more interested in the Disney world’s then anything else.

Considering this game ends the sora saga but kicks of another one… we might be playing the last one in 2050.
I mean it’s been almost exactly 12 years since KH2 came out (March 2006). That’s a long time to wait for a sequel that was set up more than a decade ago. A lot of us were still in middle school and high school when that game came out. A lot of people have just given up on KH3 and are just tired of the waiting and spin off game padding. The way people feel is basically that if they aren’t going to hurry up and wrap up the damn story then it just needs to die so SE can put out something else. I was ready to throw money at KH3 10 years ago but now I just feel meh about it.
The thing is, KH living or dying isn’t preventing SE from putting out anything else. The only franchise in their stable with that power is Final Fantasy, and it itself is the reason KH3 got delayed for an extra couple of years.

Like I fucking LOVE kingdom hearts. I’ve owned and 100%ed every single one (even recoded). I think the only KH I haven’t played is the mobile one. But I’m so tired of all these inebetween 2 &3 and prequels. I want 3 god dammit.
Every time I lose interest in the series they always do something to wrangle me back in like 1.5, 2.5 and 2.8 prologue. And everytime I forget or lose interest in KH3 they release something that totally blows me away and gets me hype all over again.
I can’t wait to play in the tangled, big hero 6, monster inc and toy story worlds. I hope there are TONS of dlc worlds since Disney owns so many IP’s it’d be so easy to do and people would buy them.

At this point I am skeptical about KH III will ever come out, new trailer or not.
Years ago They teased KH III and we got some DS/PSP games instead.
