Alright, so A New Hope (the only possible world since people will cut Nomura’s head off if they did Phantom Menace instead).
Where do you start? Tatooine and travel with Luke the entire time?
That would be a very long level unless they REALLY condense it. And it doesn’t have the benefit of multiple view points spreading it out so they only have to focus on one like PotC did in KH2.
Not to mention A New Hope wasn’t exactly very combat-heavy like…well, every other Star Wars movie. At least on the ground, it was very space battle heavy. And I think more people would be mad about a Gummi Ship bringing down Star Destroyers and the Death Star than being hype for it.
All Star Wars needs is an optional boss fight for people to get hype. Minimal Effort for Maximum Profit. All you’d have to say is “You get a Dual Boss fight against Darth Vader” and done. The money pours in.
Who says they have to do a whole movie? Or hell even show us every part of a movie? The Disney worlds are maaad condensed. They could do the battle on Endor (we meet luke and Leigh and Han and Crew here), take us into space, take out shields on the Death Star with a Gummy ship, then break off, land on said Death Star and team up with Luke for boss fight with Vader and Palpatine. 5 min escape run, bobs your uncle.
It’s not even like we need long introduction here.
Luke: I’m luke, this is Leigh, and that’s Han.
Sora: Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
The Tron world didn’t cover much of the Tron movie either, they completely reworked almost that entire narrative. No reason they can’t with Star Wars either. Thinkin mad narrow here son.
Alright fine. Obviously I talk out of my ass too much. I’ve said nothing right in the last couple of weeks so maybe it’s about time I take a break from here or just shut up completely.
Naw I’m kidding. Look i don’t think you’re sayin shit wrong, just not thinking broadly enough. KHs sums up the most basic parts of the movies it adapts, you just take the most key set peices and shoe horn them into a flimsy narrative that injects Sora and co into the plot.
Also if they were to do any of the movies they don’t have to do full run through of the movie while you’re there. You can show up at a world and experience a main event that happened in one of the star wars movies and then once that’s done you either get kicked out inexplicably for one reason or another/just leave and then come back for the next event. They could have the characters there fill you in on any minor details that happened while you were away.
I support the optional boss Vader or something from SW. I really demand Pixar worlds as priority though. Toy Story is a given if you ask me. IMO, priority should be: At least one Pixar world, some classic Disney worlds that may be more obscure, Star Wars optional boss, and way in the back, a Marvel world. I second that if any Marvel world happens it’ll probably be/should be Spiderman.
I’m still curious as to why KH isn’t milked at Disney Parks. I remember when KH1 came out, Disney Channel showed the commercial at least 3x a day. And even had an “Underground Disney” short special for it. I could never find that video again. Anybody remember it?
Riku vs Vader
Sora vs Galen
Mickey vs Yoda
Donald/Gooft vs R2D2/C3PO
How come the “Limited Edition” preorder for 1.5 on amazon doesn’t even talk about the artbook? I don’t wanna get it and it turns out to be the game only. But I’m so hype for abilities being set as reaction commands.
