Notice it’s team NJ (New Jersey) vs NY. It’s not “my team” it’s not even my idea it’s Merdoc’s. I live in NJ so I would be repping NJ. That’s the way it is.
I could care less about “oh I hate you so I don’t want to team”. Mvc2 involves 0 teamwork between marvel players so that’s really a nonissue. If people don’t want to play b/c I’m on the same team which is based on a region, then that’s their problem. And so far the only person who has a problem with that is rob, who has contributed nothing productive to this event so far and is just trolling.
If my “leaving/kicked off/whatever” makes more people want to play for team NJ, then fine go for it. I have no personal investment in this matter if that’s how NJ wants to represent itself then that’s their choice.
Either way I would still be at this same arcade, the same day, playing on the same cabinet, playing the same game, playing the same players. Nothing will change anything for me personally.
Same thing I said above applies to rob. You live in NJ, this is team New Jersey. Your logic fails: there is no correlation between your performance on the team based on me joining or not joining.
The only change if I’m not on the roster will be a signficant drop in the probability of NJ winning vs NY.
