Taking the train is a pain for me. It probably comes out to the same as far as gas cost goes, too.
this gaming club in Rutgers New Brunswick is planning a bi-weekly for Super SF4 and Brawl pretty soon. It’s only going to be for 4 weeks starting sometime in October and it should end around mid-November or early December. I don’t think they have anything concrete at the moment, since I only know its going to end sometime before the fall semester ends. So, be on the lookout for that.
Maybe they can make one of the SSF4 tournaments character-lock?
Definitely will need to check that out when I’m home
I went down to Rutgers for one of their SF4 tournaments last year and ended up getting second to a Chun player, the bane of my existence considering I main Honda. Lost my first match as Honda then switched to Cammy and did a bit better, but I hadn’t put any real practice in with her, so I shot myself in the foot there. I don’t know if I’d be able to do bi-weekly, but what days were they considering for it?
They’re pushing for Saturdays (evenings), but they might miss a week due to some room booking problems. Probably the last of the bi-weeklies may have to be on a Friday, since NEC is going to be during that same weekend.
Oh, and I think I know which Chun player you are talking about. His Chun is alright, but nothing great. He still gets beaten by the local Ryu player that goes here.
EDIT: And going to the Break is a must if you want to play the best in the tri-state. I try to make it out and I’ve gone a few times (got bodied too), but other shit tends to pop up most of the time and I can’t always go.

Yeah, at the time I hadn’t gotten a lot of experience against Chun, and only ended up playing against one on a semi-regular basis in the past few months. So i just made stupid mistakes and wasn’t sure on what to do. Hell, I’m still trying to figure that out for the most part.
Think I might head to the Break next week, actually. I’m gonna be a bit short on money this week, but next week I should be fine.
How much would a full trip cost to SB be? the whole thing, not just the ride. I’m curious.

Hey I’m looking for jersey xbl people to play ssf4 with my gamer tag is NeoTeTzuO
So I’m talking to my boss about getting some sort of regular tournament series going on in Clifton, but I’d want to have a head count first. I don’t want it to cost 10/10, but 5/5 probably isn’t going to cut it. I also don’t know how I feel about 10/5 or the opposite of that. If ti doesn’t work out, though, I’m thinking of just running my own in Maywood at a venue I can get for free, which I brought up in here ages ago. Since that one’s a free venue, I’m thinking it would just be 5 dollars for tournament, and then donations if anyone wants. Most likely this would all happen on Saturdays or Sundays.
Would anyone be interested in this?
Edit: Also, I think my store is gonna be running an MvC2 tournament at the end of the month, I’ll double check with the boss later on today about that, though.
Hey guys, I know that there is always the 8 on the Break tournament every week up in North Jersey, but is there any love for South Jersey at all? Myself and a couple of guys from South Jersey normally head over to Philly for our tournaments but were thinking about getting some tournaments together, possibly a bi-weekly of our own, held at Next Level Videogames in Blackwood, NJ. I wanna see if anyone would be interested first though. We’re in the planning stages now and I think are going to run a night of casuals from the store and see what kind of turn out we can get, but ultimately we are looking to set up a bi-weekly tournament for the South Jersey area. Where we are is about 30 minutes from Philly, 45-60 from the shore areas, and 30 from Delaware. If you guys are down, reply to this post so we can see what’s good and get this started.
