Just got home from a local tournament in North Arlington. Took second as E. Honda, I lost against a pretty ridiculous Chun Li. It’s a weird matchup for me, though. I don’t normally fight Chun Li, and I was having a lot of trouble getting in. The guy was seriously on top of his shit. If there are more of these tournaments going on, I’ll post about them here. I would’ve said something, but I only found out about it 3 hours before it happened.

It was really small, maybe 10 or so people, double elimination format. About half of them were any decent. I remember there being a good Akuma, Balrog, Rufus, Ryu, and the Chun Li that beat me in the finals. It took place in a shop called “Realities Edge”. They do mostly tabletop gaming, but they want to get bi-weekly fighting tournaments going on, so I told them that if there was a set schedule for it, I’d tell more people. Since there weren’t a lot of people in it, the first place prize was $50, and second was $10, so i made my entry fee back. Can’t really complain about that.
Edit: I need to pick up a second character. My Honda is decent (I think, at least, I usually don’t have much of a problem beating people as him), but I can only do so much with him before someone completely has my strategy down, I gotta start picking up another character so I can mix it up a bit next time this happens.
Also, I think the next tournament thats going on at the store is either KoF12 or BB.

Either way, I’m really not used to playing against Chun Li, especially as Honda. Getting in seemed like more of a chore than usual.
