Anyone know about this guy?

HannsG HG-281DPB lag

Seems to have low lag according to these guys.

hey i just got my asus vh236hl-p 23 widescreen hdtv,

i was wondering, on the xbox 360 display settings, what should i have it to?

this monitor supports 1080p

but it gives me options for 720p and 1080 i

witch should i have it on, im a noob to hd stuff so go easy on me./

i figured this would be the thread to ask in… I searched and have found kind of non-conclusive answers…

Hey, that timer idea seems like the best way to determine lag. Is there some kind of website or application that does it?

Wow …lately there’s been alot of people who don’t even bother to read a few pages back, even a few post back…

asus 27

my asus 27 inch monitor. 8 ft monster hdmi cable. gave it another shot, but had it set at 480. runs much better. although playable, still not perfect. hdr online.

i don’t play sf4 and haven’t played offline 4 more info. hp2709 is not 4 gaming btw.

if i ever have money, i’m getting an hd arcade cabinet monitor like n the tekken 6 cab. i’m sure it’s only a couple grand…

Did you seriously buy a Monster cable?

Haha, I was thinking the same thing.

Is there anyplace that actually has the Evo (236) monitor in stock right now?

Also, does anybody have any camcorder recommendations? I want to get one anyway for recording games and taking pics, but I figured I might as well get one capable of 60fps for testing lag.

what’s wrong with a monster HDMI cable? I bought one not too long ago for 5 bucks, 6 ft hdmi.

Bestbuy

Monster cables are notorious for being overpriced, but $5 for a 6 ft HDMI is a good price.

I think this thread is very useful for people who are shopping for a 20" - 24" LCD Display but it seems like your options for a bigger display are severely limited. Almost every display you guys tested has some type of lag.

Does anyone know if OLED displays have less of a lag issue? What about plasmas?

Yea, im giving up on hdtv’s and buying a 24 inch monitor :’(. Sick of playing HD games on an SD CRT

Sucks… 24 inchs means im gonna have to play pretty close. Might as well just start PC gaming instead of consoles :frowning: lol

I might buy the new Benq E2420HD. No info on it anywhere so its hard to commit. But if i do i will try to find a CRT monitor and do some tests.

Plasmas are decent if you buy the right kind. I think the most lag-free are the Panasonic G10 and V10 series, AFAIK. Like 2 frames max, do a search on AVForums, someone there tested one and the results were very positive.

Playing Games with a HUD is not good for plasmas… image retention will own your TV watching experience…

modern plasmas are much more resistant to burn in

Yeah, I heard new pioner don’t suffer from burn in at all.

Panasonics too

they won’t burn in, correct… you can get rid of it… but it takes a while… so if you expect to play a lot, you will never have a chance to get rid of it…

A buddy of mine had this problem… eventually he just stopped playing games on it… it was the only way he could watch a TV program without life bars…

Not sure about the E2420HD, but one of my monitors is a BenQ E2400HD and its on par with the evo monitor in terms of lag.
