HDMI on that monitor was verified lag-free by Evo staff. So either way is virtually lagless.

i found this:

check this guy’s second post for recommendations

/: I guess I have to get a faster camera for my input lag measurements. But first tests on the 32lh3010 suggest that it should be in the 0-1frame of input lag range.

How did you test it?

Clone mode with CRT, however that stopwatch programm i used seems to be buggy on my pc, another (not right working, seems to drop some frames) test results in 2 frames of lag.
Basically… those results are worthless until i find a working program.
(flatpanels.dk inputlag and lagom.nl tests failed…)

/?: http://www.springcreeksoftware.com/ , Virtual Stopwatch should be fine. I can confirm those 2 frames of lag. Tested pc and game mode.

need test results for lg 32lh30 via 360-VGA. someone run a crt test pleeeasssssee.

I tested the vga port on the 32lh30 at 1080p. I found it to be the same amount of lag as every other port used with an avg of 35ms of lag.

I wonder if the new delta 32s cabinets at SVGL has similar amount of lag…

I wonder if anyone has ever tried the clone mode test with two CRTs to see if they actually output the exact same frame over a series of pictures.

I had no luck getting accurate result with using the LCD vs. CRT stop watch test.

try doing the 60fps camera test(if your have one).

go back a few pages and look for KoshTheKoala and my post for example.

but either way, it seem like the conclusion for the LG lh30 series is that it has 1~2 frame lag.

ughhhh…is this the lowest tested 32" lcd? and was it ps3 or 360?

I think he did the LCD vs CRT stopwatch test (correct me if I’m wrong).

The the only way to do a 360 vs ps3 specific test is to do the 60fps camera test.

Holy Fuck, how many times do I have to say this. Yes a 1080P signal can be carried over component cables, but the PS3 itself DOESN’T output 1080P over the Analog signal, which is anything using the AV cables/jack. This includes S-Video, VGA, Component and composite.

It does however, output a 1080P signal over the HDMI output, which is a DIGITAL output. This includes DVI Cables, since HDMI and DVI share the same signal, they can be converted with a simple plug/adapter. That’s it, nothing else necessary, no processing or anything of the sort, it’s literally just changing the shape of the plug. You can use a DVI-HDMI cable or vice versa, or an adapter over the other end of the hdmi cable so it fits the DVI port.

Um who are you talking to? why u mad??

Yeah I did these test with the lcd vs crt stopwatch test. I would’ve done a 60fps camera test if I knew/had one at the time. And from what it felt like, you can feel the lag on these tvs compared to svgl’s sf4 arcade.

I also just found out that the delta sf4 monitors at svgl showed a signal saying “Analog” when starting up. So I’m guessing they’re using vga input for sf4? The picture does seem a little soft.

the typex2 arcade boards has VGA and DVI output…so there probably using VGA port.

I get soft picture too when ever I use VGA on the xbox 360.

Is it possible to get a hold of a monitor like the ones used in Viewlix cabs? Not saying I would do it because I’m sure they are very expensive but I’m just curious.

Well it is possible but for the price you might as well get the whole vewlix cab.

the monitors will also be open framed with no stands.

I can see why that idea isn’t feasible for just about everyone. Is there a model number on that 32" LG display that you mentioned was on some Blazblue cabinets?

I recently got a VGA cable for my 360, I’m going to try it out on my Bravia tomorrow. I don’t notice any lag through HDMI and Game Mode so I’m curious if the VGA cable will really make much of a difference.

The sharp e77u seems to have really low lag.

I’m just not sure if its usable as a monitor (the lg definately is), hdtvtest.co.uk: “However, due to the triangular architecture of the sub-pixels, fine details appeared pixelated and lacked definition. Therefore, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend the Sharp LC42DH77E for PC usage.”
