Where did you get this information? Do you have that TV? I ask because that contradicts the results that I got today when I actually went out to a retail store and tested it. It’s actually more around 3-4 frames of lag (with GAME mode on and every possible type of picture processing turned off), and the response time of the LCD panel is atrocious and littered with ghosting. I can post video or pictures to back my findings.
Please do, glad i didn’t go with this one…How about the Sharp lc32d47u is this any good?
What do you all think of this? Newegg.com - Acer P235Hbmid Black 23" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 50000:1(ACM) Built-in Speakers
It’s on sale for today only for a pretty cheap price. I don’t know much about specs for monitors or tvs so wanna see if it looks good to you guys. It says it has 5ms input lag.

Sorry to post twice but this post has nothing to do with the post above.
Are these the monitors EVO used before they switched to the Alienware monitors?

I didn’t test that particular model this time around, although I did test a different Sharp Aquos with some interesting results that I’ll post sometime soon. Anyway, before I show you the L32X2 input lag, here’s a standard definition CRT for reference:

And now here’s the L32X2:

That was using an HDMI cable at 720p, the television’s native resolution. Input lag was a frame worse than that at 480i using a composite cable. Here are the video files (h.264 encoded at 60fps) for additional button presses. More TV tests to come.
I recently sold my asus so i was fooling around and bought a vizio e320VL for my bedroom…I tried it out on ssf4 and to my surprise it didnt do that bad. From playing on a vh236h for 2yrs, it did rather well. I haven’t tested it but its pretty close to what im used to on the asus in terms of input lag and so on. I played with a hdmi cable, game mode, went on to advance setting and turn everything off. Its pretty close so if anyone is looking for a 32" model maybe take a look at this. walmart has it for 298.00 so its in a good price range.
Anyone have any recommendations for a large HDTV? I’m mostly concerned about playing 3s Online when that comes out for 360. This will be my first “modern” television. From what I’ve been reading so far I’m looking for:
-50 inch screen
-Plasma
-1080p
-Game mode
-USB port for playing files from a pen drive
-VGA port
-Anti- Reflection coating
-Anti-Burn in solution
again guys take a look @ the vizio E320VL…I know i havent tested it the way ppl do it here as the norm but i been playing with an asus vh236h for about 2yrs and i cant tell if its laggy or not…with hdmi i think it has 1 frame of lag or .5 but with component cables (red, green, and blue) its identical to the vh236h in terms of input lag. I think if your looking for a 32"(720p) gaming monitor its def cheaper than the panny tc l32x1 which goes for 419.00 on google check out. that is all.
for a 32 incher, the X1 will always be the go-to tv. The problem is that it’s very rare that you can buy one new online. That $419 price you saw in google is probably from Buyersedge.com. I called them a couple of weeks ago hoping to buy one since they are the only online seller that has it for a reasonable price and that their site shows it’s available. Sales rep said they don’t have it since it’s been discontinued. I told them they had it as “in stock” on the site and they still said no. So in case anyone is planning on buying this online, better call to confirm stock. If in case anyone finds one available, let us know! Even if I already bought an X2 (Costco X24 to be exact), I will still jump on one.
Also look for Pana’s L32S1, while searching for a L32X1. Both are identical in terms of lag input, but S1 is a 1080p tv.
Yes the panny tc l32x1 has been tested along with the s1…though the s1 will lag about 1 or 1.5 frames. Again I think this a alternative since x1/s1 are hard to find and are pricy…but if your going a tc l32x2 please dont waste your $ that joker is gonna lag try out vizio e320vl before the x2 definitely

which is better:
Panasonic VIERA 42" Class / 1080p / 600Hz / Plasma HDTV TC-P42S2
vs
LG 42" 1080p LCD TV 42LD450
as far as picture quality and lag? somebody on another page said that the above lg was trash as far as picture quality…but the amount of lag is ok… but does anybody have that panasonic that i listed above? how is the picture quality and how is the lag? thx.
I was going off of what the person who did the tests told me and what it felt like when I played on it.
I said someone else tested it and then I played on it. The bottom line is that even playing on it I definitely felt noticable lag.
im looking to buy a 32" inch tv for hopefully sub $400 or hopefully less on black friday.
if you guys find a decent major brand name tv with minimal lag similar to panasonic x1, please do share!! 720p or 1080p, doesnt matter. :woot:
EDIT: has anyone tested Sharp LC32D47U?
I’ve been searching for about a month for information about the Panasonic G20/25’s input lag and there was one test at the AVS forums but the test was not done correctly. Just wondering if there are any owners of the G20/25 or people that have more solid data on it’s input lag.
try the vizio E320VL walmart has it on sale for 298.00
Has this TV been tested?
look it to be honest no it has not…but to my point I have been playing on a vh236h asus for 2yrs, this 32" 720p native lcd is a GREAT FIND! Walmart is very accessible to everyone so try the tv out and check it out yourself (worse case you take it back same day and get your $ back). Settings - put it in game mode/advanced settings everything off. Composite hook up = no lag, component (red, blue, green) = no lag and HDMI = .5 - 1 frame. Playing on a lagless monitor for so long you just pick up a 6th sense and im 110% sure its identical to vh236h performance. I got a macbook pro but dont feel like investing $60-70 in a rgb/vga hook up to test it. Hope this helps and saves you some money!
It seems to be about one frame of lag in Game mode with everything turned off, no matter if it’s 1080p or 480i. Check my videos of it here for your own judgement.
Is $300 for that Panny TC-L32X1 a good price?
