Hey. I’m going to be in the Boston area during the Memorial Day weekend, specifically staying around Arlington but I will have a car. Was wondering where/when a semi old man can get some games in. I mainly play ST/mvc2/SF Alpha games, but I can fake it on some of the newer stuff, like MK9 and mvc3. Anything going down around the holiday weekend? Am I holding out too much hope that an arcade exists in the area or perhaps at least some kind of regular meetup? Hopefully you guys can give me some good news.

pinball wizard arcade is a veeeery nice arcade in Pelham, NH, maybe 35 minutes out of boston. They have a bunch of great classic fighting games, including all 3 alphas, world warrior, champ edition, all the old MKs, and a bunch of versus games like cvs2, marvel super heroes, mvc1, (no mvc2 yet). they also have a blazeblue continuum shift running. the people that run it are super nice and they’ve been letting us hold fight nights there bi-weekly on tuesdays.

That place looks fun. Thanks for the link. How busy does it get on weekends, specifically on a Thursday or Friday? It’s sort of on my way to the Boston area and I wouldn’t mind stopping in if it is worth the drive.

i live on campus. however i’m washed up, so you might try your luck at rob’s place in somerville on the weekends. ask around. alternatively, try to find a ride to game underground on tue/fri or souper bowl on wednesdays.

Check out the first post of this thread, there’s a list of fight nights. Unfortunately, a lot of them are only accessible by car. You could take a commuter, but you’d need to get a ride from there to the actual venue.
