All the fucking HATE and ANGER is being released the moment I get there. I will not accept the ranking i’m in right now. It’s time to fucking KILL! I FEEL THE POWER!!!

The power…

…to lose to random running dust.

Wow somerville? Thats cool, one of my cousins lives there and I go to his house there whenever possible. We play fighting games, mainly SSBM, Super DBZ and Budokai Tenkaichi 2. He doesn’t play the other fighters though.

And I used to play 3S and CvS2. I did get decent at them, I was pretty good at executing the moves (I still should me). Next time I go to somerville I’ll let you know.

It seems like the majority of you guys live right in/near boston. I live like 45 minutes away heh.

SSBM SUCKS! mash A and point different directions = win

well my friend told me of a place some where in boston its on the east side does any one know where and what im talkin about if so plzz let me know cuz im playin 2 go out there soon

what exactly are you looking for?

I smell fear…fear of Abstract!

That shit’s all in your head. :arazz: I’m not afraid of you.

This Saturday, Potemkin will starve.

ok Boston Japanophiles, anybody interested in Japanese tutoring by any chance? My gf’s mom is a little bored I think and is looking for work. Figured I’d mention it here.

She’s not a young hot schoolgirl or anything, but she grew up in Japan so she’s good. She can probably dp too.

a arcade here thats all she told me and i dont know anything else i just want 2 know is there any one or anywhere i go 2 play when im out there thats all

go figure, i was looking up learning Japanese today. Any other details?

If you are talking about the Boston area itself, there are Goodtimes, MIT, and apparently Bunker Hill Community College. Goodtimes is not all that spectacular. I hear that the cabs they have are not all that well maintained and all. MIT only has CVS2, and not well maintained from what I hear. Not sure about BHCC

Although there is one nice arcade, Tokyo Game Action, and its in Winchendon, 2 hours from Boston itself, and a 30 minute drive from Fitchburg, which is as far the commuter rail in MA goes. Middle of nowhere if its not obvious already.

However, good luck finding any comp outside of the ranbats and its closed cause the owner went to Japan till late August. It does have a real nice selection of rythem games though.

Edit: Can I also get some details on the japanese classes?

MIT’s CvS2 is maintained on a day to day basis, at least, it was when MIT was open. They’ve closed for renovations. No word on when they’ll reopen. But the machine was fine.

GT is AWFUL. I went the other day out of boredom for a half hour and EVERYTHING is unplayable. 3s doesn’t work and freezes 90% of the time, CvS2 - both sticks are terrible and pulling off anything on them should win you money. MvC2 has always been in rough condition and they aren’t bothering with fixing anything.

BHCC is terrible as well, mainly because of the TINY CvS2 cabinet and the TINY space around the cabinet. Also, if you don’t mind getting hit twice and losing half your life, then BHCC might be the place for you. Also, the 2p side is fairly broken. Same deal for MvC2 there. Small cabinet, no room to move, highest damage setting.

TGA, however, is a top notch place to play. The only complaint you’ll hear from just about everybody: it’s in the fucking middle of NOWHERE. I know I’ve never heard of Winchendon before TGA moved there, and hell, i’ve driven through there before TGA was there. If TGA moved closer to Boston, it would more than likely have a more solid base of players that played on a weekly basis, rather than a monthly (or bi monthly, at this rate) base of players that just show up for Ranbats.

I heard they tried to find places closer to the Boston area, but everything was way too expensive.

But, wouldn’t the fact that they were getting more customers in a more crowded area compensate for that?
