Dark Geese, after seeing that match vid you posted up on the last page in the KofXI thread of you playing NGBC, I had to learn that girl with the suit case. She’s too good. And your Athena is crazy!
I haven’t played this game in so long, but after watching some match vids I started to miss it. I don’t think anyone plays this game around here, sadly.
Any tips you can offer on how to use the girl with the suit case? Her name is slipping my mind at the moment. I was looking through her move list, but a lot of it was confusing because of the Japanese. It seems she can do some follow up moves after some moves, but I’m not sure.

Kisarah Westfield of Agressors of Dark Kombat…thats who she is…
She is very technical…first thing first…Are you good using technical characters?
She has to be one of the most technical characters in the game by far.
I could certainly help you get her down…
Tips with her for starts…learn all her specials…she has quite a few…check the www.gamefaqs.com command list to see just how many she has…learn them all and then I will teach you some that are not in the command list!!!
With Kisarah you’ve got to start small before you can go big and do all the fancy stuff like OTG and tick to tech trap etc…

You’ve gotta start by knowing that she has a very very potent high-low game…
As I showed the Triad in person, her qcb+a to qcf+a bag combo the first hit is AN OVERHEAD.meaning at first you need to know:
slide (df+D) xxqcb+a to qcf+a combo that starts as a low,
Or her qcb+a 2 qcf+a combo that counts as an overhead to have your opponents guessing all day.
Sure Shotos DPs can snuff out the mixup…but thats why you can block and you have her great counter (Qcb+C)
Ask away any questions I am sure between me and P-Soul we can both give you all the Kisarah info you need!!

You’ve got some people in Connecticut I think that play it and you also got the people in Pennsylvania that are just starting to learn it…Shibuya and Hyperhal…its my job to make it easier for you to get the NGBC and SNK comp that you need for less effort!!!

That gamefaqs FAQ helped a lot. I learned all about her normals, what chains into what, etc. And there was even some strat at the end. This is good for now, until I get into some advance stuff. I still suck at this game. I can’t even get through the game on level 6 setting yet. -_-; That’s why I’m practicing though.
I still haven’t decided on a second character yet. I was messing around with Shiki. I’m not sure if I want to use her though.
Kisarah takes a lot of work and dedication make no mistake about it, she ain’t an easy character to master make no mistake about it…
She also has many amny KaraCancels so that is something to keep in mind as well if you wanna get all fancy and tricky with her you can…

If you are looking for a second charcter to pair with Kisarah try Cyber Woo, Kisarah takes a lot of work to do well in actual battle so having a strong 2nd takes some of the spotlight off of Kisarah and thats when she can get in and out and serve as a nice mix up!

Thats when she can come in and battery more for Athena or just rip an unsuspecting opponent to shreds with the almost countless # of options that she has…

If you’re having trouble finding a counter character, Cyber Woo is the go-to guy. Poisonous darts, winter warz, and liquid swords kid! :bgrin:
Shiki seems like she could be effective with the proper playstyle. She has some nice range on her ground pokes, chain combos, and the reason I really want to play her is her insane walk speed, both forward AND back.

At 1:34 when you switch her in, you start the c.D QCB+a>QCF+a combo, then you follow up with a canceled b+D and it hits for a 4 hit combo. How do you get that b+D to hit in the corner like that? Is it character specific?
Kisarah Kara-OTG and extra stuff 101
Thats something more or less advanced for Kisarah…Its her OTG…this is how it works…
It is part of My Tech Trap…if they tech once they hit the ground I can punish them with qcb+a to qcf+a if they don’t I can hit them with her Kara-OTG-
There are plenty ways to Kara-into her OTG and it hits the more advanced techniques with Kisarah-
However before I teach you all her Karacancels know that with Kisarah in order to get the Kara-OTG to function you must know about her Double Normal by itself and its properties.
One of my patented combos you will see me use in the Cajunstrike vs. Dark Geese Vid#2 to try and make my comeback after I ate a big ass Assist+Marco combo :lol: was st.b,cr.axxf+Dxxback+D.
When the Double Hit hits by itself finishing with the Back+D the opponent CANNOT tech it, hence why I use it.
For more stuff I do with Kisarah check the beginning of my EOTRS thread first page so you can see some more tricks because even at NEC7 and in my casual vids I dont do everything with Kisarah.
Now about KaraCanceling into it…Her Karacancels are…
#1-Down+D Slide
#2- Cr.C
#3-St.A
#4-Far St. D
#5-A Very fast Close St. C
With Kisarah the most you can do is a Triple KaraCancel…thats right sometimes to trick the opponent if I know they are good at fighting Kisarah I will do cr.Cxxdown+Dxxqcb+C (Hold C)~D to cancel out of it and return to neutral…Yes that is some of my more advanced tricks with Kisarah and man I’m telling you she is VERY ADVANCED!!!
From any of these #'s 1-5 you can go into the F+DxxB+D OTG move and I use it to finish things off when I anticipate them not teching and sometimes even if they tech it will catch them recovering after a tech.

***EDIT: You have to do the Double F+DxxBack+D to get the OTG to connect hence it is a Double Kara-OTG! If you just use a Karacancel straight into her Back+D you will not get her OTG but you will get one of my other little secrets…a good Anti Air because it sends them spinning away if you are not good with comboing off her qcb+C counter Persona style.

With Marco, you WANT to land the first hit of far st.C. The reason why you want to land that is because of his knife loop. One of the most important things of his game. Far st.C starts the loop - like this: st.C xx rolling knife stance, then link A, C, d,df,f+ A or C (always use A if they’re blocking). It “loops” because on block, that knife combo pops him out of the stance immediately, and sets you up at perfect range for another far st.C, and the knife combo, since he pops out, also puts him at a nice advantage. The knife attacks also chip on block. Certain characters have ways out of the knife loop, but that’s is where the mixup comes in and the importance of learning the knife stance.
Important knife stance moves - A, C (two hits close), d,d/f,f+ A or C (sliding knife attack), A+C (parry), forward or back B or D (roll - B is shorter, D is farther).
What’s so important to know are what attacks in the knife stance pop Marco OUT of the stance, to continue your mixup. If you CANCEL into the sliding knife attack, Marco will pop out. If you CANCEL into the Forward roll, Marco will pop out. Come up with your mixups from what knife attacks cancel into each other, what distance that puts you at, and then what distance the roll goes from there, and if that sets up a throw for you, avoids a throw, or sets up another far st.C.
Example: Far st.C xx rolling stance, A, C xx forward B roll, throw.
Example: Far st.C xx rolling stance, A, C xx forward D roll, far st.C.
Something tricky you can add here is also when you cancel into the roll from the knife normals (A or C), you can then cancel the roll into the sliding knife attack.
Example: Far st.C xx rolling stance, A, C xx forward D roll (goes behind) xx C sliding knife -> then of course Marco pops out of the stance and is in good range again.
–Why this is so important is because of either when they block the knives, or the character can get out of the loop. Kaede for example can low parry the sliding knife ender when it is blocked (even though it would combo if he were hit). So, just cancel into the roll and then throw his parry attempt.
B&B I use is close C, d/f+C xx A Heavy Machine gun. A new one I’m working with that I just saw on a random combo vid, is that the knife combo (A, C, fireball A or C), can actually combo from close standing A if you cancel into the normal knife stance. That shit is SO FAST THOUGH, so it’s pretty difficult.
Random notes:
-jumping A is really, really fast.
-jumping C can annoy the opponent, can hit twice, can cross up.
-cr.B x 2 into DA, or C, d/f+C xx DA works.
-d/f+C by itself is a nice ranged poke, but you’ll get eaten alive if it’s blocked, also counter-wires.
-the hostage, or Free-Man, deals a shitload of damage. 
-jumping B and D can also cross up.
-far st. or cr.A is fast enough to calm people down when they get poke happy.
-rolling knife stance has slight invincibility at startup.
-neutral knife stance can avoid early jumpins.
-with the parry he takes damage, but it can guarantee a knife combo.

Yo I was finally able to play this game on my new modded PS2 yesterday. So I was curious if anyone knew what tier shiki is in the game as well as any good or decent shit with her.
Also what basics should I use for Kaede cause I’m thinkin of usin him or washikia but who would be a more of a good character for mindgames??

For now one of the main Wakeup mindgames with Kaede is st.bxxcommand Grab or just doing the command Grab by itself.
Once you land the st.b to command grab or the command grab if you have Level 2 super ALWAYS do qcb+C (one hit)xxLight Saber super with C then run in OTG with b.
If you don’t have a Level 2 you can do DA (qcf+E) or the tightly timed Japanese thing I missed vs. SietClayton lol
Delayed qcb+C do that only the first two hit and then you land, reset with st.a jab, then run in to whatever you want to do.
EDIT: You also in the corner have reset options via other ways with cr.C, jump a, jump C, and other things to reset them if you wanna just make it easier for yourself. I just gave you the Kaede JAP Jedi Knight Reset trick you will see in the vids.
