Everything I said is stupid? Hmm, wonder why it has gotten so many new players…easy pretty shit. Simple as that.
I personally have a lot of fun playing XI myself, but NGBC doesn’t usually get a fair shake because factually it’s a harder game to play and win at, so I feel people get scared to try something new. I’m not “bitter,” I didn’t help dev the game or anything, but I can objectionally look at a game and although fun, recognize it’s garbage. What I get aggrivated with is when people haven’t given NGBC a chance, yet praise XI when it’s all a one dimensional, repetitive shitheap of a game with more random shit and a more dominating top 2 characters than anything else. Although enjoyable at times and I can understand the game’s appeal, people need to open their eyes if they think XI is a “good” or “better” game.
Let us help you out Shinto anyway you can man, I’m just pumped because I get to play with the Greatest NGBC players in the USA…from North Carolina and from NYC and from Cali maybe at NEC…
It’s my honor to play with you guys…:china:
Though know be it at NEC or whenever I will take the throne away from you guys lol…
:badboy:
But you all know its all in good fun!!! :wgrin:
My first goal is NGBC National Champ, I don’t care how long it takes until it is mine!!!
Yea DG I’ve got down the Rock, Hotaru.but are there any tricks to Iori.
Like the special move when he jumps in the air then land, can you do it on incoming characters? I know its un blockable.but people can still run out the way when it comes down…which sucks but W.e
Iori is easy. Spammable crouch A into QCB+Ax3, OTG with QCF+P. Command grab into crouch C -> QCB+Cx3. Easy crossups too. He’s a very simple character to play. I don’t even really use his supers; his Maiden Masher does a chunk of damage, but he seriously does not need it.
His new super mainly is best used when your opponent is coming in what I call “Post-death” in other words after you kill someone you can time it just right where it will hit your opponent with his Orochi Red Blood Super…Other than that the super has VERY LITTLE USAGE.
Also the North Carolina Combo-
Cr. D sweepxxRoll Cancel (Thats pressing A+B I call it BRC for Blue Rush Cancel) into Dp+A.
Also on wakeup st. b is goos to use its better than normal. Iori is pretty simple really he is.
Back+B in the air is your crossup, Far St. D is a good poke, and Jump D is good to stop things as well. Iori is very very simple he really is!
Once again know that using cr. a Anyone can BLOCK HIGH!! So incorporate st. b and cr.b,cr.axxqcb+C x3 so that your opponent will block low if they know this and very few know about this!!!
Iori
-cr. B, cr. A is your bread and butter. If it connects, qcb + Px3. Connect with a OTG fireball if in the corner. If blocked, fireball or dash up throw
-the 2nd qcb + P is relatively safe if blocked. If so, hesitate and hit with a dp or super. 50/50 situation however
-standing far C is nice. A good way to land a DA Assault outside of point-blank range.
-standing far D can stuff an opponents attempted jump
the thing I like to do when I defeat the opponent in the corner is either set-up a Orochi Cross-Up or his orochi iori super so I land on the other side and grab them.
His fireball is actually fast now. It seems lately it’s been a slow P.O.S. in pst titles like CHAOS, 03 and 11.
I also recomend using standing close B. Not too many standing close attacks are known to hit low.
Jumping B does great as an air-to-air
his qcb, hcf + P super is the one u will use most. For pressure mainly or possible keep-away
the only thing about standing low attacks is that you have almost no reason to block high for a standing opponennt in NGBC since there aren’t a lot of overhead attacks.
You don’t have to have the opponent cornered to OTG with Iori’s fireball after QCB+Ax3. However, it only works off of the A version since the C version recovers too slowly.
Thanks, Peeps for the info, the only thing that kinda confuses me about Iori is his jump back+B, because if you jump over the person and I press back+b it usually dont connect.
You have a small window to do Iori’s jump back+B, it has to be right when you are crossing the opponent up, there is a small window to do it…funny thing is in this game Iori can link his jump back+b on a forward opponent!!!
