I was wondering how akuma can air demon flip and cancel into another air demon flip? Been trying to figure it out and having trouble with it.
You do a demon flip into palm and then cancel (or wait til it recovers, not too sure) into another demon flip.
What are people using Akuma for on their teams? I currently run him as a middle character right behind Super Skrull or Magneto. He’s pretty perfect in that spot seeing as I feel he falls off really badly without SOME kind of assist.
What exactly is Akuma’s Shoryuken super invincible to? Does it only beat beams?
Mostly tatsu assist really. Top 5 assist, it’s that good.
Doesn’t Akuma only have one air action per jump?
No. You can do 3 demon flips like this. You can also do an air fireball on the way up and still do a demon flip while coming down.
Are you saying akuma needs an assist to be good? i don’t agree, he’s a very, very solid anchor. he has meter positive combos that have self OTGs and is so dirty in a corner. teleports with invincible supers (technically he has 4 supers as well, giving you something to work with) and can easily turn 700k damage with little work and one meter, no xfactor.
besides maybe wesker or dark phoenix i can’t think of a better anchor char.

Assists aren’t mainly for getting more damage. Akuma really benefits from assists to help him get in or put pressure on. Sure once you land the hit you can do lots of damage, but his mixup potential isn’t the greatest. The only reason he’s a great anchor is cause of fast beam supers, good air throw combos and tatsu that breaks projectiles, also now air demon flip isn’t too bad. There are a lot better anchors than Akuma, he just shines really well with either XF3 or lots of meter or both.
I can agree with most of that, but I think you called it spot on with the beams and xf3. But even without xf3, akuma is essentially a tod waiting to happen. He actually has better mobility than people give him credit for, plus some of the best supers in the game. (most are effectively invincible and offer a ton of chip damage)

I have a question about air actions: can you do a air fireball followed by a demon flip into air fireball followup?
Do the motion of an air fireball then do demon flip motion ( back dp + attack button) then press H
Should I throw a light version of the air fireball? The hard version seems to have great recovery.

Yeah, it was all just a matter of knowing when you can do your next action after the air fireball recovers.
I’ve been practicing with Akuma more and wondering what’s the best midscreen BnB for him right now.
The best BnB that i think everyone should know how to do, which does really good damage is a basic aerial combo of L,M,H, S, M,M,H,S then demon flip M to otg then M,M, tatsu cancel into fireball super then hit S right after the super and jump, beam super.
Thats probably the best and really good Akuma bnb especially if he is an anchor with lvl3 x-fac and a bunch of meter.
I personally use him as a second character with my team of Trish, Akuma, Wesker…scummy unblockables lol
