Bottom 10 SF5 themes:

  1. City in Chaos. Sounds more like Applebee’s in Post-food Nap.
  2. Bustling Side Street. No identity whatsoever, could be played on literally any stage.
  3. Ryu’s theme. Same old shit, how is everyone not sick to death of it already?
  4. Ring of Destiny. Exactly the same as the main menu music. who thought this was a good idea and why aren’t they fired?
  5. Training Stage. More SF4 wubwub breakbeats. As boring as the stage itself.
  6. Necalli’s theme. Generic God of War sounding bullshit.
  7. Urien’s theme. Same problem as above, except it tarnishes Crazy Chili Dog as well.
  8. Ibuki’s theme. Crappier remix of Twilight and still not Sharp Eyes.
  9. Forgotten Waterfall. Like its name suggests, forgettable. Zzzzzzzzz.
  10. Juri’s theme. Total and utter garbage, made in 5 minutes in FL Studio.

Not really. NG/2I had way better music than Third Strike. I’m also talking about Alpha 2 and 3, most of the EX games, and above all else, SF2, which it goes without saying had some of the most iconic music in video game history.

SFV soundtrack continues to impress me beyond the first impressions.

Still waiting for the soundtrack on Steam to update with the latest tunes, especially the trailer for “A shadow falls” and Ibuki :tup:

I can kind of agree with this one. It’s a good remix, but we’ve had like 20 years’ worth of remixes of it, and it stays too close to the original and doesn’t really “spread its wings on its own”…

I’m with you on SF2 and Alpha 2, but Alpha 3’s music is garbage.

Not really familiar with any of the EX games’ music.

Music is art after all, you might not like it, but the rich dude over there will pay 1 million € for it.

1st round theme for Halloween stage kind of sounds like the crumbling laboratory stage from SF4. Not a fan of the vocals.

It DOES sound a bit like Crumbling Lab.

The first two lines of vocals sound fine. It’s the last two high pitched ones that are lame.

I still think the first song is a lot better.

Something about the beginning makes me think they threw in a little of the russia railyard stage from sf4 in there as well, slightly altered how ever.

Majority of NG / 2I was ost was just like from US reality shows. Bland, boring stock music that would be better to used as elevator music / 70-80’s one hit wonder. Only Sean’s, Alex’s and Ryu’s + character select musics were something I’d say were decent.
