The Solution
What up, MI? I have some good news. I text one of my friends who attend/work at WSU and he told me if a group of people can come to together to form an organization, then they could rent out one of the conference rooms in the Student Center throughout the week for free. I was talking to vanitys7 and some other players yesterday about having more frequent, weekly training sessions which would deal with more players coming out (besides at tourneys) in order to improve. WSU is a former school of mine, I’ll mention it now the majority of their conference rooms are pretty big (at least the size of The GameYard). The only fee would be parking in the structure (which is $3.50 for the entire day). With the rates The GameYard charges by the hour, you can’t beat a total deal like that on any day. Instead of going to The GameYard and kicking out a nice amount of bread for few hours, people can come to WSU and not pay a dime for a room(s). This could be the ideal training site MI needs (thanks to yours truly lol). If anyone is interested, pm me so I can give you more details. It’s a sweet deal :china:.
Only problem is we need to bring our own hardware. Right now, Gameyard only costs $6 for the whole evening on Thursday, and the parking is free, so it’s not that different. Gameyard costs $2.50 more, but we don’t need to bring TVs.
On the subject of non-tournament get togethers, I’m gonna try to put one together in East Lansing, because there is no way I can get down to Garden City or WSU on anything close to a weekly basis. If anyone is interested, or wants to help me out let me know.
