No one ever played VF, haha. I’ve kind of noticed a trend, though; new players pretty much only want to play SF4, and maybe dick around, briefly, in other games, whereas the old Wizzards era players largely don’t want to play anything that came out after CvS2, no matter how much they may talk otherwise. Hell, most of them didn’t even want to play SF2 period, aside from Hadoken, me, Clarence, and a couple other people.

Funny thing. Last week my boy was talking about VF. He wanted to play it because of Vanessa. Last night we played VF5 (online) casuals at ULX. I have not played competitively since 2. This was when I was to poor to get a Saturn and was at Jolly Time Arcade. I played VF5 (xbox) and ran through everybody. I played over 50 to 60 matches and won them all beside 2 to 5 matches. Ubersauras are you down for some VF 5?

Even with the hype behind KOF 13 it still will bomb IMHO, even if it does play better then SSF4

Ppl don’t like complicated games, that’s why nobody here plays Tekken, MvC2, VF…everybody only plays SF4. It’s kinda lame because I’d rather play Tekken over SF but there is no scene for it anymore so I’m forced to play SF.

So true. You also cannot forget all those Heads that scene the SFIII video. It made a lot of people thinking that they can just pick it right up and go. Marvel vs Capcom 2 also. Adonis said perfectly,

If KOF 13 comes out playing like the any other SNK game, then it will be over looked. Inputs need to be simple for it to pull away this new crowd of gamers that started on HDR and SFIV. If it was not for them changing SSFIIT into a game everybody can play, i.e. Sagat TigerKnee, then the new generation would of overlooked it and kept on 1st person shooters.

Honestly, KOF games were good, but they will never ever be better then a street fighter game. Street Fighter 4 is god compared to any fighting game that came out. Purely my opinion of course :). As far as MK, I can see MK9 being played a lot, judging by the trailer, looks like smooth controls and good combo system.

@ Chauncy/Ubersaurus: We should run some VF5 casuals at Gameyard this coming Sunday. Or VF4/VF4: Evo if somebody would rather play that. Don’t matter to me.

We need to try and get something else going. Michigan needs to play more than just SF dammit.

I’d disagree, I had a shitload of fun with KOF 98, 99, 01, 02, and XI, as well as both UM titles. I’d probably put 98 and its UM over the Street Fighter series as a whole (and I’d definitely put a couple of the SFII titles over SF4). I just prefer the offensive game in KOF to the defensive game in SF4. MK9, if it’s actually good, may be the only game that could survive in a post-SF4 scene. MK games always sell really well, but they usually aren’t great for competitive play. If this one is, though…

Some of us don’t even have the time to stay competitive in SF4 so how are we supposed to be competitive in 6 other games that are WAY more complex? We can all bitch and moan and complain but that’s just how it’s going to be. Right now SSF4 is the big thing and everyone wants to be involved in that. It’s not just MI’s problem, it seems to be an issue in a lot of other communities, too. But then again I don’t even have the time to come up to more than 1 or 2 tournaments a year so maybe my opinion really doesn’t mean anything to anybody (<------- probably the case)

Super Bug Fighter 4. Damn punch buttons lock up online among other things. SF4 cold of been something but it ain’t, So i’ll forward to the new BB,MVC3 and KOF13
