???

just playing a ghetto Indiana Jones, a goof, or himself.

Same with Jack Nicholson and Alan Rickman. They will just be themselves no matter what. You can’t stop them. Notice how all their characterizations are basically them doing something or with a little detailed changed? All of this a good thing as it ensures that any movie they are in, however terrible, will at least be entertaining when they are onscreen.

Easy Rider: Jack goes on a road trip
Chinatown: Jack plays detective
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest: Jack gets sent to the insane asylum
Terms of Endearment: Jack plays astronaut
Batman: Jack gets dropped in a vat of chemicals
A Few Good Men: Jack joins the Marines
Wolf: Jack becomes a werewolf
As Good as it Gets: Jack has OCD
About Schmidt: Jack has a midlife crisis
Something’s Gotta Give: Jack realizes he is getting old and can fuck chicks who wear things from Anthopologie
The Departed: Jack is Irish
The Bucket List: Jack gets cancer

Die Hard: Alan Rickman is a terrorist
Robin Hood: Alan Rickman in olden times
Dogma: Alan Rickman is an angel
Galaxy Quest: Alan Rickman is an alien
Harry Potter: Alan Rickman teaches potions in a wig.
Sweeney Todd: Alan Rickman is a judge.

You forgot the Witches of Eastwick, a personal favorite.

oh perfect
i can put these 2 on here
they always play themselves

will ferell
christian bale

How about Allyson Hannigan.

She seems to always play a nerdy girlfriend.

Perhaps I should’ve rephrased, but I think the only way these two are going to stay relevant is if they continue to play cops and tough guys, which they’ve already been doing for a long time and on an almost exclusive basis. Isn’t that almost as bad as being typecast?

Gonna throw one out of left field Herman Munster lol

Jackie Chan, enough said.

A whole slew of guys who always play mobsters. Check the entire cast of the Sopranos.

Danny Trejo and Vinnie Jones imo

I don’t think its neccesarily fair to say someone isn’t being type cast by listing all the different qualities of the characters they play. It doesn’t really matter if Rickman is an alien or a judge, he is always the cynical, sardonic dislikeable guy who’s constantly irate. He could be Alan Rickman in the year 3000 or Alan Rickman as Robin Hood’s nemesis, but he’s the same personality acting the same way. I’d say that’s typecast.

i would love rickman as an alien judge

Definitely Danny Trejo, Electrifying One beat me to it. Not sure if anybody else has posted his name, I haven’t skimmed all the pages.

Dude is the same brick shit house foreign menace in EVERY movie.

Vinnie Jones was a good call, too.

Hugh Grant!

That is all

Steve Buscemi always seems to be playing a paranoid, highly alert weirdo in just about everything he’s in.

Or he could just be playing himself, I dunno.

ethnic people will always get typecasted in the states
thats why brits, asians, latinos always see the same role

unless you are black or white, you arent going to be more than jimmy jones, hector gonzalez or wong chi in every movie

Kiefer Sutherland after 24?
